Yeah, I actually only rated that race because I was keen on Roxbury Hall and I wanted to see if it would come out on top of the ratings.

I worked them out, using the past ratings in the horse's form. They don't have ratings for upcoming races. Not that I know of anyway.

Yeah, I'm still experimenting with them, and while I'm doing that, I'm not really outlaying much money on these horses. Just having a few Any 2 bets and a dollar or two on the top selections when they are good value like Mer Bebe the other day.

One of the things I'm finding beneficial about doing ratings is sorting out the best races to bet on. Because I don't want to rate more than 2 or 3 races at any meeting, it means I have to decide which races are the best ones to rate. I'm finding that I'm doing pretty well in sorting out the good betting races from the bad ones.

Gday All

this is a very interesting thread.. I rate nearly every race evry day... I have had a play with the TAssie ratings and up to race 7 there have been a phenomenal (sic) 5 out of 7 horses rated on top as the winner .. The other 2 had the horses rated in the first 4.. Lately I havent been able to rate an on top winner in melbourne for love or money so maybe this is helpful tool

The last race at 5.15 goes something like this (Have I jinxxed it or what?)

8 SANDOWN HILLSIDE
3000 Good 1MW-LY HCP $22000
1 $2.7 DOMINEER PRINCE
2 $3.6 PHAYES TIP
9 $4.9 OUR DRAWN
4 $8.5 CARDASH
3 $11.4 GLEFTI
6 $15.1 MOLLO MOLLO

Now bound to faill

My normal ratings are as follows:

Race 8 5:15 PM Castletown Handicap Rst 1 Met Win-LY
2 $2.6 Phayes Tip
1 $4.7 Domineer Prince
3 $6.3 Glefti
6 $8.2 Mollo Mollo
4 $11.0 Cardash
8 $11.0 Spicy Red

Yeah, although those Tas Tab ratings are apparently based on lengths, not kilos, I've still found that using them as weight ratings works out okay. For example, a rating of 565 on that website I just convert to 56.5 kgs. They've gone okay so far but I still need to study them a bit more.

Have you noticed the jockey stats too? Click on a rider and you get his rides for the last 3 months.

Ozeform is painfully slow, and you also get timed out after a few minutes. Very annoying. Also typing in a horses name is VERY tedious. Add to that the Ozeform db basicly shuts down on Tues and Wednesdays I've noticed. Tassy Tote form is lenghths ahead as far as convenience is concerned.

At first glance the ratings at least look comparable to Ozeform (which i've found to be quite accurate). There looks to be a direct correllation evident.

I also like the fact that the ratings are measured in Lengths, as opposed to KG's. This is very convenient if you DON'T believe that 1 len = 1.5 kg's, like me.
