Certainly have Mo.
I use the Tas Tab ratings in conjunction with the Unitab ratings to formulate my own set of ratings on the best races. This was the method I used to win the Ratings Challenge we held on the forum a few months ago. With those Tas Tab ratings, I divide them by 10 to get a weight rating. In other words, if it's a rating of 645, I convert that to 64.5 kgs. |

Thank you Sportz.
I hope my maximum $50 bets don't impinge on your dividends. If in fact I decide to use your divide by 10 system. Anyway,I'm off to Unitab. |

Of course when using the Tas Tab ratings, you have to decide which race or races you use as your base rating run. That is very important. You could just simply use the last run, you could use the best of it's last 2 runs, or the best rating recent run over this distance. You could get an average of 2 of it's last 3 runs. It's up to you what you do, but once you've got the Tas Tab Rtg that you want to use for the horse, you do this:
(Tas Tab Rtg divided by 10) + (Unitab Rtg divided by 2) - Weight to be carried. That's a very simple version. Personally, I also add a few small bonuses and penalties to this, but generally, there's no reason why you couldn't just use the simple version. |

Yes I did actually sneak through the back door and found your system in amongst the 526 odd pages of the Ratings Challenge thread.
Probably more use is to find out which horses can actually be thrown out for framing market purposes. Very ordinary fields tomorrow.Don't know if I can hang out till Wednesday but! |
