Almost subscribed to this thread when it started. Glad I didn’t.

In my book a ‘stable’ competition should be judged on the prize money a stable accrues over a specified period. After all in the real world, that’s the bottom line.

Yeah, I thought about doing it that way, but we are after all, basically a forum full of punters, so I went with the betting part of it.

Definitely something I will think about for the Spring though.

Okay, well like it or not, here's what I've decided to do.

We won't make any changes to this competition at all. We'll stick to the original rules.

RULES

12 horses in your stable, 6 'Group A' horses and 6 'Group B' horses.

Hypothetical bets on all of your stable horses whenever they start at one of our nominated meetings. You'll bet either $20 Win or $10 EW on all Group A horses and you'll have either $10 Win or $5 EW on all Group B horses.

Two trading periods available where you can replace up to 3 of your stable horses with new selections for the rest of the comp. During these trading periods, you are also allowed to swap your A & B horses around if you wish, as long as you continue to have 6 of each.

Sat Apr 23 (Doom, Rand, Caul, Chel, Belm)
Mon Apr 25 (E.Frm, Rand, Flem, V.Pk, Belm)

First trading period
Tuesday Apr 26 to Midnight Friday Apr 29

Sat Apr 30 (Doom, Rose, Sand, Morp, Belm)
Mon May 2 (Doom)
Sat May 7 (E.Frm, Rose, Flem, Morp, Belm)
Sat May 14 (G.Cst, Rand, Sand, Morp, Belm)
Mon May 16 (Ipsw, Cant, Flem, Morp, Belm)

Second trading period
Tuesday May 17 to Midnight Friday May 20

Sat May 21 (Doom, Rose, M.Val, Chel, Belm)
Sat May 28 (Doom, Rose, Flem, Chel, Belm)
Sat June 4 (E.Frm, Rose, Sand, Chel, Belm)
Sat June 11 (E.Frm, Rand, Flem, Morp, Belm)
Mon June 13 (E.Frm, W.Frm, M.Val, Morp, Belm)

That's it. The rules exactly as we started the comp.

However, I've decided that I WILL start up another thread with a different version of this comp, just for people like kiwi, myself and any others who are interested in picking out horses to follow for any meetings on any day of the week and being able to change them more regularly.
