Good win. I noticed the odds at jump time were $1.90/$1.70 and I actually decided to back it for a place. Well, it ended up paying $2.20/$1.90. Terrific odds for the place I reckon!!!

Not a bad result with Red Impala in R5 too Brian. $3.40 the place. I took a place all-up with it and Regal Dash.

Interesting that the fav won paying $1.40/$1.40. Again, great odds for the place.

I was too late and missed it.

Brian, here's something you might want to think about. If you're confident that your horse can run a place at fair odds, you could perhaps think about an 'any2' bet with your horse as banker from the field. Then if your horse does run a place and a roughie comes home in the placings, it can be quite nice. It would have cost just $4.50 (50c unit) to do that in R1 and you would have got back $115.70. Of course, there are plenty of races where favs run 1-2-3 too, but if you're confident of your horse running a place, it's certainly an idea worth looking at.
