looked at your pick mav, 1 start 1 win (far far away). Problem is sectional was only 35.8 and overall time for 1000m was 1:01.1 (very slow). Despite this considering stewards report from race and natural improvement is worth including.
I looked closer at winaqua. Also raced at ipswich a week later than far far away. Difference in time was huge.In running third sectional was 34.3 and overall time 58.7 (ie 15 lengths faster than the maiden a week earlier) Both on good tracks. Perhaps include them both, with maybe the toppy first up (although he is really unknown first up). Plus, far far away is a 3yo against older horses. Still winning form is good form so I will keep a close eye on betting moves - currently 20's about far far away. Did you see it race? Times can be misleading and I didnt see the race so I may be a bit off the mark! |

open race was an understatement...50/1 shot gets up..
they say after you've had a good day you should always have the next day off... might pay to listen to that advice next time. ![]() |
