Another Southern fella that I like is Carolina's Jake Delhomme from Louisiana. the panthers play the new "Americas team" the N.O. Saints who obviously want to win for inspiration for their ravaged state, but so does Delhomme, and he doesn't have as many distractions as the Saints. pick---CAR -7 (Chi+5) (under 37 Mia-Den) (under 43 Minn/TB) (KC -3)PS I was at a concert in Philly last year when Jake and his crew came in the night before the playoff game with the Eagles. (North Mississippi Allstars --the baddest band around!!!) Jake is obviously a fan too. Well, the crazy Philly fans started a big fight with them and they had to leave. Idiots!!!

Those Eagles fans are a very different breed aren't they Saratoga they might actually make the Raiders fans look normal.

Aw Man, RAW! Even you, down under, knw that! I can't wait to call WIP(610 AM) and bust the Eagle's fans chops! LOL Philly's only about 20 miles from here. I gotta hear it all the time.... I used to route for them a little but now i can't stand them. THe Flyers either(DESPISE THEM!!!!!)hockey
I'm thinking about going to the 49'ers game at Philly next week, but last time I went to a SF game there on a monday night, the fans were brutal. I didn't catch any grief, but alot of Niners fans did. In the old days when the EAgles were an underdog working man's team it was alright to be crazy like that, especially when DAllas came to town. Man do the EAgles fans hate DALLAS!! Do you want to know what that Shasta ex paid? I wasn't there. |

Mor Bottom Feeders...
Repost:
Evangaline Downs 31/08/05 This Man's Darling won by 17L unextended after being pressured in the lead from the 900m mark. Obvious but a huge win. Worth watching this replay if you can get a hold of it Kara's Cat Was trapped 4 wide around the clubhouse turn, found the lead then pressured by both the #6 inside & #9 outside to the 600m pole. Still managed to fight on & only beaten inside the final 100m to run 3rd with a 4L gap to 4th. Crawfish Etouffee Led in a fast pace, being pressured by the #9 to boot. After doing all that early work, the jockey took off before acceptances at the 700m mark & was 4L clear at the 400m. Tired final 200m but that was expected. Winner had a cold inside run & was suited by the early speed. Hoosier Park 03/09 & 04/09 Gold Brick was at big odds & ran a bottler. Led in a very fast CT lead, found a small break on the HT & kept fighting to the 150m. Was a sitting duck to the late closers. Look for a slower pace & or positive jockey change. The times at Hoosier Park over the 2 meetings I saw were very, very slow, so I guess they are the lowest of the low there?? Princess Teresa From gate 10, sat outside leader, no cover in a cut-throat lead, with a 6L or 7L gap to 3rd early. Strode clear in stretch unextended & untouched to a 5L win. Had speed & handled pressure so surely this is one that can step up in grade. |

Thanks Brave, I'll mark those and let you know if they come up and how they do. But I must say, no horse named CRAWFISH ETOUFFE knows anything about acceptances and 700m! He's a doggone Cajun, mon ami! LOL! Hoosier is brutally bad but I hit a tri there last week by just watching the horses as they came out on the track... .................... You know what they put in gumbo and etouffee?
Anyting dat run too slow or fly to low! LOL Great old Cajun saying that not many people know about. Bon Chance et Bon vie! (Good luck and good life) |

Sorry Raw, my deown unda mate! $1800! THe quinella only paid 300 and the tri paid like 700. Ya just never know over here. I always try to play a couple of weird combos in the later races. Here's another weird one. King ALfred #2 on Sunday paid $13.80 to place and I bet win and show trying to outsmart the pool before I left the turf club. The horse was 1/5 when I bet him to win. I thought the best he would be was, POSSIBLY, 2/1! He only paid $3.80 to show.
On another note, my brother and sister-in-law are on their way to Perth. They are moving there for my brother's job in mining. And when I wake up this morning, I hear an AL Quada operative here in US has threatened Los ANgeles and AUstralia. What the f!!! IJ just got done telling everybody how well like Australia is and all that. Only those dick wads could dislike Aus. I can even understand them hating us, but what the f!!! Australia! When they bombed that club in Indonesia or whereever that ********ed me off, as much as the WTC. At least they warned us. I get a little worried, because my brother will have to travel to Indodnesia for work. Weird bunch those guys...... |

I think I'll pass on the gumbo...
Would I even want to know what they put in gumbo & etouffee?? What I don't know won't hurt me.
Entries: Crawfish Etouffee.....Evangeline Downs 14th.....race 2. Gate 1. so this race comes down to speed. Will he be pressed? Can he take a sit on the fence? I loved his run though, looks superb value at 10/1. This Man's Darling.....Evangeline Downs 15th.....race 6. Should be odds-on, so no bet. Kara's Cat.....Evangeline Downs 15th.....race 7. Gate 4 this time, not gate 9. Once again will just depend on the value. |

Damn: 2 winners from 2 today
Of course they win when I forget to post them
Capt Spaulding. won @ $16.40 at Finger Lakes. Cielavia won @ $7.90 at Fort Erie. After last weeks poor showing, I didnt bother posting these here because I was thinking that the class was just too poor to trust. Still, a few of these havent raced since. Love is Kind i jotted down today from the 15/09 Penn National meeting. Very "interesting" ride, not ridden out but was gobbling up leader late. Your Virtual StableTM Captain Spaulding Sat 3 wide outside leader in a very fast pace! no cover from gate 10, stuck on OK but worked very hard. Cielavia Sat outside leader, no cover in fast pace. Has accelleration & was used too much. Sitting duck in stretch today. Closing Argument Great run in Derby, showed enough speed, trapped 4W the trip, had cover, hit lead beaten final stride. Under-rated? Crawfish Etouffee Led in fast pace, pressured, jockey took off at 700m, 4L lead at 400m, ran 2nd 4.5L beaten final 100m, winner had cold inside run. Gold Brick (JPN) Led in fast cut-throat lead, pressured constantly, found a small break on HT, held on to 150m Kara's Cat 4W CHT, found lead, pressed all way by 2 horses, found a break, beaten final 100m Love Is Kind 2nd in MSW, beaten 2.2L, beat 3rd by 5.2L. Lacked speed over 5 1/2F, but has depth, unextended final 100m, still took good ground off winner. Wants 7F +. Mr. Question Raced 3W no cover on pace from gate 12, no vigour by jockey, 2nd beat 3rd by 4L Princess Teresa Gate 10, sat outside leader no cover in fast CT lead, 6L gap to field, won unextended in stretch by 5L Sea Patrol Worked very hard & won well with gaps. Sat outside leader in fast pace, had Capt Spaulding on his outside pressuring, dashed away on turn. Seattle Schifty Good early speed, raced 3W no cover, made move on leaders at 700m, strong final 200m with 7L gap to 5th This Man's Darling Led in solid CT lead, then cantered away, won 17L unextended final 200m Tiyourselfon Raced 3 wide no cover behind leader, some accelleration, beaten 0.2L with 4.7L gap to 3rd. 3L in front at 100m. Gold Brick, Crawfish, Kara's Cat & This Man's Darling all unplaced last week. Haven't heard anything about Closing Argument since the Belmont or Preakness. I dont get to see the good'uns. |
