5/14 btn 2.4L Sale mdn. 1200m at 1st and only race start might be good enough reason to support it regardless of the name.
Interestingly the horse that beat it that day, Splendid Fellow, won it's last start, C2 at Toowoomba.
Currently $9-10 on supertab.

I've been betting for ages, since the late 70s in fact. However, I only really decided to start taking it seriously and start studying the races properly in early 1989. Well, the very first horse I ever put in my "blackbook" of horses to follow was a Victorian horse called AISLE and guess what - it duly came out next start and won the Victoria Handicap at Caulfield in March of 89 at nice odds. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Well, here we are, 16 years down the track and I almost feel obliged to have something on this one today. I'd probably look at saving on numbers 15 and 12 though, and maybe throw 16, 1 & 6 in for multis or something.

Anybody with an opinion on this race???

Yeah my opinion is it is a garbage race... Full of non performers for mine.. having said that something has to win..

I would think betting around 15-12-1-6 you should be able to find the winner... (13 and 16 for the multis)...It is a pretty low quality affair.. not too many place getters amongst them, and a couple of first starters, but there has to be a winner and they pay in aussie currency if you can find the winner

Good luck with it.... I think u may need it

If that is the same horse, and it's age is correct, the owners, trainers and jockeys should be ashamed of themselves.

A 21 year old mare is far too old to be racing in any race.

Yes, I couldn't see it happeneing, although it has happened in the past.

Also AISLE is second up today, not the same horse Sportz backed way back when.

I don't understand how they can let horses have the same name ever.

In 20 years, it's going to get very confusing, what if this horse is something special and wins the same feature race. Or a Melbourne Cup, what pray tell, do they do then?

Any historian is going to have two horses with the same name winning the same race 20 plus years later, or a horse not capable, winning a Melbourne Cup 20 plus years later.

Just does not make sense to me.

I just might go and buy a yearling and name it Phar Lap, reckon they'd let it through?
