As far as the ratings go on the aap site, I've found it best just to ignore all the bonuses and penalties and just go with the base run figure.

would anybody be able to tell me the rules, or where to find them for this method, i was thinking maybe if a tweek it a bit to make it strickter and add things i value might give me a system to work with?

even if their system worked for a fine, over time it's probably going to lose as more punters would be using it and without good prices any system is doomed!


that's why i use my own systems

those R&s guys have a powerful database but they seem to tip a lot of losers. maybe they incorporate too much info in their analysis.

The old KISS principle is best

6 kilos is not accurate to apply across the board, some horses are better first up than others.

some horses fly first up and shouldnt be penalised at all. they should be given a bonus if anything.

horses need to be rated individual on runs which close match todays contest.

so if a horse is firstup rate it on it's last 1 or 2 first up runs.
