Default My horse placed and I didn't get paid?

Just looking at R4 at Canterbury:

Currently Viewing 27 June 2007

Result Selection TF SP NSW NSW Pl SUP SUP Pl UNI UNI Pl
Canterbury RACE 4 - Hyland Race Colours Hcp (C4) 1900m
1 2. Mean Beans 2.30 1.85 2.00 1.30 2.20 1.60 1.90 1.10
2 3. Derivative Receipt 6.00 6.00
2.90
2.40
3.40
3 1. Streamline
4.20

Then I look at my graded wagers...

26-06-2007 21:49 6673663 Single - Canterbury 4 - 1. Streamline - $5 Win - City Best Plus $5.00
Resulted $0.00 $-5.00
26-06-2007 21:49 6673664 Single - Canterbury 4 - 1. Streamline - $15 Place - City Best Price $15.00
Resulted $0.00 $-15.00

This doesn't make sense?

Unhappy

They only pay for 1st .2nd on races with less than 8 horses.

Cheers.

There is an exception Darky:

When a race originally has 8 runners but is reduced to 7 with a late scratching. In this case a place dividend will still be paid for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

I'm not interested in losing money. If I find that's the case, then I'll pull the pin and stick to my MMA & the market. Simple as that.

Cool

Bon,

Most of the punters here have been at it for more than 18mths. Many more than 18yrs. How many of them do you think make a profit and they [most]are by no means slow witted people? About 5% profit makers would be a big call.

They do love the game though and if you don't and aren't prepared to put in a lot of very hard yards, you have no chance whatsoever. There is no easy money to be made in Racing.

Since there were fewer than 8 runners this event didn't pay 3rd placings.

You placed a wager for "Place" where places were limited to first and second only, live and learn.
