![]() Knights have shortened to $4.50 third favourite for the wooden spoon ahead of South $3.75 and the Tigers $2.80, closely followed by the Raiders $6.50.
So here is what I am thinking of doing, what do you guys think? 1. Knights for the wooden spoon $4.50 x Manly to make the top 8 $1.90 x Swans to make the top 8 $1.80 x Waratahs to win S12 final $4.50 x Liverpool to win EPL Excluding,(Chelsea,Arsenal & ManU) $2.35 x Australia to win the Ashes series $1.55 = $252.26 x $5.00 = $1261.30 2. Knights for the wooden spoon $4.50 x Manly to make the top 8 $1.90 x Swans to make the top 8 $1.80 x Brumbies to win S12 final $3.50 x Liverpool to win EPL Excluding,(Chelsea,Arsenal & ManU) $2.35 x Australia to win the Ashes series $1.55 = $196.20 x $5.00 = $981.00 3. Knights for the wooden spoon $4.50 x Manly to make the top 8 $1.90 x Swans to make the top 8 $1.80 x Crusaders to win S12 final $2.60 x Liverpool to win EPL Excluding,(Chelsea,Arsenal & ManU) $2.35 x Australia to win the Ashes series $1.55 = $145.75 x $5.00 = $728.75 4. Knights for the wooden spoon $4.50 x Manly to make the top 8 $1.90 x Swans to make the top 8 $1.80 x Waratahs to win S12 final $4.50 x Everton to win EPL Excluding,(Chelsea,Arsenal & ManU) $1.75 x Australia to win the Ashes series $1.55 = $187.85 x $5.00 = $939.25 5. Knights for the wooden spoon $4.50 x Manly to make the top 8 $1.90 x Swans to make the top 8 $1.80 x Brumbies to win S12 final $3.50 x Everton to win EPL Excluding,(Chelsea,Arsenal & ManU) $1.75 x Australia to win the Ashes series $1.55 = $146.10 x $5.00 = $730.50 6. Knights for the wooden spoon $4.50 x Manly to make the top 8 $1.90 x Swans to make the top 8 $1.80 x Crusaders to win S12 final $2.60 x Everton to win EPL Excluding,(Chelsea,Arsenal & ManU) $1.75 x Australia to win the Ashes series $1.55 = $108.53 x $5.00 = $542.65 Biggest questions are: Manly to make the top 8, what do you think? Swans to make the top 8, what do you think? Australia to win the Ashes in England? I am thinking of doing these before this weekend kicks off, because I think some of the prices may vary considerably after this weekend and may not make it worthwhile. The six options I have posted would cost me $30.00 for a minimum return of $542.65, at best $1261.30 I am also thinking of taking the same six options but substituting the knights for either the Tigers at $2.80, Souths at $3.75 or the Raiders at $6.50 The worst of the six options with The Tigers for the wooden spoon would be at $67.53 x $5.00 = $337.65, the best would be $156.96 x $5.00 = $784.80 The worst of the six options with Souths for the wooden spoon would be at $90.44 x $5.00 = $452.20, the best would be $210.21 x $5.00 = $1051.05 The worst of the six options with The Raiders for the wooden spoon would be at $156.77 x $5.00 = $783.85, the best would be $364.37 x $5.00 = $1821.85 Do you think it is silly to tie up $120.00 for so long on a multi that could faulter with the loss of any one option? Plus I am not sure if I can take a wooden spoon option and a top 8 option in the rugby league in the same multi. Thoughts and Comments........ |

![]() I put these on yesterday with a mate who doesn't usually gamble except on pick the margins in the NRL, he knows next to nothing about the S12's or the AFL though. So each week during the NRL we put in $20.00 each and take a $32.00 pick the margin and spend the remaining $8.00 on either mystery margins, pick the score or a couple of small multi's.
Pick the margins in the NRL, $32.00 gives us five games with two options per game and one option on each of the other two games. Roosters 11-20 Penrith 11-20 & 21+ Parramatta 1-10 & 11-20 Warriors 1-10 & 11-20 Manly 11-20 / Storm 11-20 Bulldogs 11-20 & 21+ Souths 11-20 Our remaining $8.00 went on the following multi: Roosters 13+ $3.10 Bulldogs 13+ $1.70 Souths 13+ $3.40 Penrith 13+ $2.20 Warriors win $1.85 Brumbies -10.5 $1.85 Waratahs -11.5 $1.85 Demons win $1.40 Swans 1-39 $2.35 Odds: $821.14 x Bet: $8.00 Possible return: = $6569.12 |
