I wont be betting on the cup but here are the 2 horses that i think will do well.

Best Bet
Famous Dane - only thing going against this one is the poor track form.

Long Shot
Yerevan - Good form in some nice races should come home strong.

Wink Zagalia

Don't like betting in Country Cups; but I notice in today's 'Sydney Morning Herald' that John Singleton (owner) says he will happily pay $1000 for a cup of coffee at his favourite take-away coffee bar tomorrow if Zagalia wins!

Tip for or against???

The same column in the 'Herald' estimated yesterday that Singleton would have to earn $156,250 an hour to maintain his current 'BRW' rating. So the 'tip' probably tells us nothing.

Hi guys..
Liking the meeting today at Coffss
confident about Meterorite ..hopefully will get some sort off odds about him just has to get balanced in the straight to catch Famous dane who will be in it for a long way..
Meanma ...looks good also ...going to be hard to beat the toppy with Robbo aboard but i'm comnfident
Boy's talk ran well last start against Shysu ..and if shysu was in the race he'll be probably fav...in good form ..and the claim helps as does the long straight..would want some sort of price though..
the long straight should suit Planet Lover as well..this horse is an old fella but when he winds up hes hard to hold out..
Fine dane although a hard race here and bad barrier should run well again for me..would want some sort off odds though..
been tipped about Win for us in the last ..not sure yet but if i'm winning and the odds are good i'll have a go..
in an open race in the 2nd Mr Monde is a query ..tried to find the replay of his last race but couldnt..must of liked something about it though,,

In the other meets ..Shivirgo looks to good ..but will be to short..
not sure about Dame Nellie in the heavy bog...Mikdar looks good in brissie .

will leave Honour Kate alone just to costly Rugatq in the same race rates highly as well..cant seperate them so i'll just leave it unless the odds suck me in..
and grand Merlot will have something e/w on him...gets his last chance here before the glue factory gets him..

having a big go at Meteorite today ..my biggest since Consular's win ...hopefully he runs straight today

good luck all

Just lookin at the tote.. The Coffs Cup... Zagalia has come up pretty short.. as I said elsewhere, she is the class, but I ain sure how she has come up... I reckon she is a risk.. but I have been wrong b4 Good to see Serpentine at 50's and Rodeo Chute Out at 20's... look for the ol grey to be rattlin home at the death.. It should be a good race.. just about E/W the field

I don't know if you've ever done this, but I don't mind backing horses which open up REALLY short on the TAB and get out to good odds at race time. When I first looked at the Unitab odds on the cup this morning, Concitaire was paying $1.80!!! So when I saw what it was paying at jump time, I decided to have a few dollars on. There was another one of these that I backed yesterday. Primus in the first race in Sydney opened up at $1.20 and eventually paid over $6.

Anyway, I ended up having a small each way bet on Concitaire, and also Extra Dollars as it was the Unitab Rating System selection. I should have had them both in a quinella or any2 or something.

Country Cups are always pretty hard I reckon... but being a country boy I love em... I will always put the hard earned on.. ya just never know.. Most country cups are capacity fields and anything can and quite often does happen... I am not sure that favs have a great record in CC's .. someone may know, but quite often a niced priced winner can be found... didnt find one today, but there are plenty more to come in the coming weeks and months, culminating in that Country Cup they hold at Flemmo on the 1st Tuesday in Nov.. they call it the Melbourne Cup I think, and most people will have a go in that.. in a race which is probably the hardest race of the year to find the winner... 24 average handicappers..and some real plodders ....overseas horses.. millions at stake...ANNNNND it's a G1 jeez.. and I reckon country cups are hard
