Sportz the reason I tipped Gait was because I had read somewhere that he was a half brother to Crawl who used to be one of my favourite horses then the other factor was he was by Anabaa who is very well known for getting horses to run extremely well fresh.

Yeah, I had another look after the race and when I saw it was an Anabaa and it was Hawkes, I was amazed at the odds.

I've pretty much decided to not bet on any Melbourne 2yo races at all until next year. There's just too much doubt with all these first starters that nobody knows anything about.
