if Viva Pataca settles into Australia well and handles our race tracks I feel he will win the race I just have the feeling he is a class above the horses we have right now the only reason you are seeing double figures about him is that he has to aclimatise. Of the Australian horses I only have a couple at this point that i don't mind for the race and they are Pompeii Ruler who I feel is almost fool proof the fact he can take a forward position helps him no end here, the other is Marasco however I have a feeling he will always have trouble beating Pompeii Ruler on this track.

Viva Pataca is the one they all have to beat IMO.

Had some as well. Broke a 12 year old track record easily beating Vengeance Of Rain (no slouch) in a Gr 1 over 2400 at Shatin, Hong Kong in June this year. Have also backed in the CC.

I have heard that they are going to refund the money on all the horses that cannot race in the 3 big races because of EI so don't give up hope you might get your money backon Viva Pataca yet as that is the only reason he is not coming out here.

I would be all over Efficient on yesterdays performance that was sensational another 400m will only help him where alot of the other contenders I feel are somewhat suspect at the trip he is $13w and $4p right now and I feel the only reason for that is the uncertainty of whether he will run in the race, I am starting to think the reason why Steven Arnold is riding this bloke is because the Cox Plate is what they prefer as he wouldn't cop a penalty for taking it out where he would cop one for the Caulfield Cup, Rembering ofcourse that Arnold can't ride a light weight making it almost impossible for him to be riding Maybe Better in the cups.

yeah, efficients run was a slasher, i'm still unsure what they are aiming him at, but he still looks the goods! i thought the way cinque cento held on after going with activation at that cracking pace was a good sign, but i dont think hes a winning chance, but still could be there for a place in CP/CC.
