Your shout!!

Over the years, this race has provided so many long-priced winners that it is definitely a bonanza for those prepared to lay the favourite(remember Pharoah).
How were you feeling during the race?

As soon as he didn't settle in the first 3 I knew i was safe. At the 800 I actually said out loud he'd be lucky to run a place. Nice to be right some times.

Angel,

That's why we bet mate. Despite all the ups and downs in punting, we just wait for those rare occasions when the public steer clear of a particular runner and we clean up. Patience, that's the key to long-term punting success.
Keep up the good work.

Cheers.

A word of congrats to you Angel re Grey Song. But... he who hesitates!... after seeing Grey Song at $26 in the morning paper I was ready to dive in. However left it to the last minute and saw the TAB (NSW) at 6.70 and stopped to think about it, only to find the race had started and Grey Song did a Thorpie.
Also a good effort by Osulldj who had the first 4 placings in the Doncaster amonst his raw ratings listed. Your comments on Boreale encouraged me to try him each way. Thanks for the pointer and hope you didn't fine tune your ratings away from a good result.

Well done again Angel. Kudos also to Ossulldj. Backed the six roughies I mentioned e/w and was happy to have a little on Grand Armee, but was kind of relieved in the end that Strasbourg didn't win, as I had five doubles with it but for some reason didn't include Grand Armee in them, despite backing e/w. Good result Angel and Xanadu. Well done.

Cheers,
Cosmo
