Seems you have couple of good Joks in Perth.
Tim Stubberfield...25% SR for last 12mths. and Paul Harvey...26% SR. Thats very good going by any standards. cheers. |

Nice win by Mr Sandgroper at Belmont on Saturday, having only his 2nd start. Got into a bit of trouble early & hung out for a bit, but still managed to get up on the line.

Yes Paddy, a nice win. At first start only got warm late after racing very greenly for most of the race.
Had blinkers added for Saturday and made a big difference, although like you said did hang out for a bit. Suggest he still has a lot of improvement left. Reported in the press this morning that he may be heading off over east for the Caulfield Guineas. Obviously connections think a lot of this colt - has also been nominated for the Vic Derby, Spring Champion Stakes & Cox Plate. _________________ All the best from the West Sandgroper  [ This Message was edited by: Sandgroper on 2003-09-22 14:58 ] |

Rumour is it's Irish day on Saturday at Belmont. Any tips for our forum folk from our WA forumites would be most appreciated.
