I expect Northerly to run in the Yalumba next week and show improvement on what he did yesterday. If you are looking for a moment of truth for Northerly the Yalumba will be it.
To have a chance in the Cox I'd want to see him in the prize-money next week, sticking on in the final 200M at his 2nd 2000m start this campaign. Remember he's is 8 years old AND coming off a 18 months lay off. As you would expect he us taking a little longer to reach the level of fitness required. Next week will tell us all how he is really going. |

Agree PrinceJudea, next start should tell us how Northerly is really travelling. I had high expectations for Northerly early on, but must admit I'm starting to doubt if he can replicate his great efforts of the past.
