I expect Northerly to run in the Yalumba next week and show improvement on what he did yesterday. If you are looking for a moment of truth for Northerly the Yalumba will be it.

To have a chance in the Cox I'd want to see him in the prize-money next week, sticking on in the final 200M at his 2nd 2000m start this campaign.

Remember he's is 8 years old AND coming off a 18 months lay off. As you would expect he us taking a little longer to reach the level of fitness required. Next week will tell us all how he is really going.

Agree PrinceJudea, next start should tell us how Northerly is really travelling. I had high expectations for Northerly early on, but must admit I'm starting to doubt if he can replicate his great efforts of the past.

Im gonna stick my neck out and say NORTHERLY will be unplaced for the rest of his career
