Is there any kind of gear change that can prevent that happening again Brian?

Probably not Paddy may have been the bright light near finish post, or may just not have liked being on the inside of horses.Had a horse once who would not go on the inside of horses had to be on the outside won about 8 races but all from death seat.

On www.insiderail.com/ i am listing horses to follow who otherwise would fall out of my system before they have the 3 starts that i give them. They will only be horses that have shOwn me that a win is close .
cheers

Yes Paddy as i said on insiderail you couldnt back it on form but time it ran in trial puts it in my system so therefore i put it up.This is how i sometimes get a real long shot up.Really pretty hard to back the other on form as well but was well in market first start so has shown something.
cheers

Hey Brian, I see Lisden One has just (23/03/2005) been exported to OZ from NZ. Best mile rate to-date was his 2nd-last start when 2nd over 2400m (mobile) at Winton NZ on 24/01/2005 - MR: 2.03.1. His other places have been over 2700M (standing start), 2400M (standing start) & 2600M (standing start). So I guess regardless of how he does today, could be worth following over a longer distance

Sat in the death entire trip, moved up coming to the home turn final time (looked to be going OK) weakened final bit to just miss a place
Final div $1.70 win / $1.50 place.
