Hey mav,
Just reading your comments on the rail position. I really don;t have much knowledge on the effects of rail movements either in or out and therefore can;t really include them as a factor to base my decisions on. Any information or knowledge of the effects of moving barriers would be pretty useful. Cheers Also do you record all your own tapes for form analysis or use an online service. -Matt |

TS, Rail positions can be crucial, if the rail is in any one position, and they have been racing on it for a while it's starts to chop up and favours the outside horses. Most of the time when they move the rail out, or back in, it gives the rails 'virgin ground' and often you'll see a strong leader bias on these tracks. The problem is exponentially multiplied on softening ground.
I don't know about Mav, but i record all Victorian races onto DVD, it makes races alot easier to locate, and the quality of picture is in another league to that of the website. |

Yeh was a bit dissapointed Mav, thought with her good finish she was home around the bend, was just a little flat. I'd say she would have been right there with a decent barrier after jumping decently she had to shuffle back to last to come across. Still quite happy with the run and will follow her onto a heavy track again.

Havent seen the Video Ed ..but did sound promising on the turn ...check out Medieval times run ..fantastic ..also Ledger in Goulbourn looks like being something as well..a couple to book for sure..
0 for 3 today Petrol head,,ridden forward again.. the early work kills this horse ..gets a barrier and it wins ,,got excited alittle when Aqua Dor looked like placing down the straight then stopped ..oh well a fun bet but still a couple of wasted slabs ...Unlocked ,,got crowded but still seemd to have time to run on...not sure will look at the video .. have heaps of runners tomorrow ...doing my head in trying to short list them...feel very confident about a few . A Good week guys overall,, well done ...a nice bottom line to finish with ... hope the lucky run of Saturday's continue.. *sigh* back to the video ...be on later .. |

Rosehill R3-6 Pendragon is a very exciting horse which looks set to have a good spring. Top run first up. This looks ideal. Dangers are Mosso and Paratroopers. It's a top race. Rosehill R6-1 Dance Hero looks the obvious way to go. If he gets a relatively easy lead, there's no reason why he can't reproduce his last start. However, if he's pressured at all, I'm giving number 6 Carry On Cutie a big chance of an upset. She's going brilliantly on the track and may have really gone on from last preparation. I'm expecting a good spring from her. Rosehill R7-3 Collate put in a terrific performance first up. Certainly looks above average and no reason why he can't win again here. Main danger is Swick. Rosehill R9-5 Appalachian is in tremendous form and looks suited again. Shows a lot of promise. Mystery City is the main danger and Impetuous Amour could be a good roughie. Newcastle R7-1 Missile Device is in tremendous form and this race suits. Pinikahari is the main danger.

Oops. I just realised I made a mistake there. That number 1 was actually supposed to be an 11. Sorry about that. |

Had Mazunda going for an absolute stack, was very confident, great run and e/w but should've won.
