Shaun.
With your ratings if you concentrated on the top 4 but excluded those under $5 how do you think I,d go.
Cheers

I am finding at the moment that backing the top 2 selections is performing better.

I have 252 races with results for all selections but will only be recording the top 2 selections as of Monday.

Thanks Shaun.
In that case I,ll opt for a MINIMUM $3 +

Quoting from Malcolm Knowles booklet -"Weight"

"Runners carrying 55 KG or more account for 36.5 % of all runners but provide 50.6 % of the winners. It is stating the obvious where your handicapping efforts should be focused"

Hope thats of some interest to your rating method.

Cheers
darky

Hi Shaun, I am totally new using your selections and don't know what to pick.
This is the selections for 11:57 - 27 May 2010:

Gold Coast Race 4 Class 6 11.57am
Rated
8 8.62 $35.16 1 Main Vein (6)
4 23.77 $12.75 2 Sir Monashee (5)
3 39.07 $7.76 3 Danardos (NZ) (3)
9 5.73 $52.91 4 Bradfield (NZ) (8)
5 22.82 $13.28 5 Overanxious (7)
6 12.26 $24.72 6 Tootsie Zynsky (2)
1 96.55 $3.14 7 Passed In Twice (1)
2 84.36 $3.59 8 Royal Saint (4)
7 9.87 $30.70 9 His Boy Elroy (9)

Now, for the first 2, must I pick Main Vein & Sir Monashee or Passed In Twice & Royal Saint.
Can you advise please.
Thanks

The first number under rated is there rated position so in this case
1--- 96.55--- $3.14--- 7 Passed In Twice (1)

Is the top selection with a rating of 96.55 and a price of $3.14 so if the runner was under this price you could say it is not worth backing, but i still working on the price part so this is of less importance rated position the amount separating each runner is more important.

The last 2 days have been pretty good and today with 3 on top and 2 2nd rated was not bad and we came close to taking out the 7 races with my top pick 2nd in the other races, i didn't hear how far away Yass River was but i backed it at 20s on betfair and rated it a $4.55 chance.

Should be at least 10 or more races for tomorrow.
