Thumbs up Belmont Stats

Here are some interesting stats for the racing season thus far at Belmont. Might assist with your future Belmont selections.

2. Number of winners that have come from the first 5 in running at the turn - 63 of 88 (71.5%)

3. Winners that finished in the first 5 at their previous start - 67 of 88 (76.1%)

Thumbs up Northam R1

Getting in early with (7) Golly Gee. She would have won last start at Belmont but for commencing slowly, racing 3-wide until near the 800m & then laying outwards under pressure over the final bit! Blinkers off today in an attempt to have the filly settle. If she settles she will win.

Question True Steel In Fight For Life

Well things have got worse! He is now fighting for his life at a Ballarat vet clinic after an apparent infection has caused his hind leg to well and truly swell.

Reported on high doses of anti biotics at the moment and is in a critical condition.

Anyone know the latest?
