Thumbs up Belmont Wed

Tycoon Cut looks nicely placed in the 3rd although yet to race over 1200. Won't mind the sting out of the track should the rain stay around as predicted.

Not a bad field for this time of year!

Pretty much on the mark Modem Good to see Impressive Stats showing some form - last placed in the city back in May 2005 in the Bolton Sprint which he won.

Have doubts that Tycoon Cut will run out a strong 1200 grey sapphire but from the marble she should get a good sit (assuming the track's not too bad). One that should be at a bits of odds same race is Spirited Touch. She's still a maiden but will run out a strong 1200. Wet track form not that flash.

Default Trials for Lark Hill, Monday 24/7/2006 - Track: Slow

Fastest heats of the day shared by unraced 2YO's Timely Reign (heat 2) and New Spice (heat 4). Last few heats were abandoned due to the deteriorating state of the track.

Question Upgrade

Watching with interest any betting moves for the Trevor Andrews trained Upgrade race2 tomorrow. First race-start back in October last year started fav but failed to finish (pulled-up). A post race vet examination revealed the colt to be shin sore. 2 trials this month for a 2nd and 1st.

Default Eastern Standard

Eastern Standard race4 gets his chance to add another metro race to his collection. Will appreciate the likely rain affected track and the 3kg claim for D’Yan Masdil. Despite the 3kg claim D’Yan has had a lot riding experience (a couple of years mostly WA country tracks) but seldom gets a chance in the city. They’re also adding blinkers to Eastern Standard’s gear tomorrow. This too could have a positive effect.
