Crash,

People who didn't tip on Oaks day weren't penalised and we did make it pretty clear that Cup day would be part of the comp. There were only a couple of people who have been regular tipsters that didn't tip on Tuesday.

I can understand where Crash is coming from because I went to cup day and was to busy to get my tips in that day, but, it was really only my own fault because I knew the rules so I think we can only blame ourselves.

Yeah, from now on, we'll definitely try to stick to Saturdays almost all of the time. I do think Melbourne Cup day is too big a day to ignore though.

Yeah Raider, you worked that out well. When looking at your tips I was starting to think maybe you did intentionally tip scratchings to have more bets next week.

Rabbitz, you've obviously got everything planned so beautifully there. I don't think the rest of us should even bother trying next week.
Ah I,ve taught you well Sportnutz
What about an AFL tipping comp next year
Rules as follows-
2 points win
3 points nominated draw
One game winner and margin BONUS 10 points
All tips in one hour before kick off ,first game of round
Obviously would run on middle thread
Weve got a bit of time to formulate the rules etc.I nominate you as mediator ,chief scorer etc
cheers

Sportz, sorry I only did 3 races.Had to go out after I had posted so could not alter same.As I predicted some weeks back,Nulla or Chuck 3000 would be the swoopers!I'm still a slight chance of making the first4,but will have to lay off the amber fluid when making selections, guess I'm just not a wet tracker!!Well done Chuck with Sky Cuddles.Well done Sportznut and Shaun for all the time and effort you guys have so unselfishly put in ,particularly Sportz since you took over from Shaun. And also to Paddy for posting the fields etc. well in advance, thanks for all your time and effort,it is much appreciated.Just as an afterthought for next year,if it is a Spring Carnival tipping comp, should it not be restricted to Melbourne races only? What relevance do the other states have to the Melbourne Spring Carnival? My opinion only.

Well, I personally would like it if we nominated say 3 or 4 major races each week that everyone must tip in instead of just one like this time. I think it adds interest when we're all tipping against each other in the same events. I do think we should still leave room for people to choose a few races of their own however.

I agree on the melbourne part for the spring carnival...sounds good...and yes sportz did a good job of keeping us up to date on results....i agree on one thing ...hate wet tracks....but still a chance of winning this...going to inpliment a few of my old roughie plans for next week....they have been know to produce the $60+ winners....and i will need them to take back what i have held for so many weeks...lol

I only had $10 on them at $3.10. After the first innings I'm sure they would have been longer than $3.10.

I had to go away for the weekend and when I left it was still up in the air whether Melb would go ahead. So I didn't have to time to send tips.
Just for the record (I know it wont count)
I would of got 1 winner, Demerger (did make sure I got a bet on it, :smile so would of made a small profit for the day.
Anyway, I would of had $70 yesterday due to 2 scratchings on Thursday. Do I get to use those next week?
