Okay, here we go for week one. A pretty quiet start to ease us into things. Just 3 group 2 races........

Here's what we have to do. We have to choose 3 horses and 1 jockey and the total points must not be more than 15. Important to note that you don't have to pick one horse from each race. You can pick 3 horses from the same race if you wish. You just have to pick 3 horses and 1 jockey.

Just so that nobody is advantaged or disadvantaged by scratchings, the deadline for posting your selections is 7:30 Saturday morning (scratching time). I don't know how many of you will be up and about then, so I strongly suggest you try to get your selections in by Friday night. With regards to scratchings, if you pick a horse that comes out, that is just bad luck. You don't get a reserve pick or another go or anything like that.

Just post them here. And yes, it's only group 1 & group 2 races. I will post all the races you have to worry about.

That list of races on page 1 of this thread won't be totally correct as some races may have been downgraded recently to group 3 or some others upgraded to group 2.

In any case, with the jockeys going out on strike, perhaps there may not be any races on Saturday to bother about.

Looks like Saturday's races are still on. But after that, who knows?

You can't just pick "any other runner" or "any other jockey" for one point. You actually have to nominate one of those other runners or one of those other jockeys.
