Question What the?

Hey I just noticed the rules have changed. I pay little attention as it is, please don't make this difficult. If you want to do midweek racing, could you please put each way bets on my horses as I'll have ****** who's racing midweek. And did everyone have a terrible weekend of betting?

Starcraft,

You don't HAVE to look for midweek horses. You can just stick to picking Saturday horses if you wish. All you have to do is pick 12 horses that you think can win races in the near future, but now you won't be penalised if the trainer decides to run them midweek instead of Saturday. That's all.

And as we're trying to pick future winners, I think we should stick to win betting only. By the way, Win betting improved your position dramatically in week one compared to each way betting.

Sportz. Just providing notification that I’m not continuing on in this comp. Major attraction to me in the first instance was the EW option as included in the original rules. Now no longer an option, the ‘new’ comp is no longer of interest to me.

Sandgroper,

I'm very sorry to hear that. Are you sure you won't reconsider?

This is turning into a mess. I'm beginning to wish I'd never started this comp and I'm certainly wishing that I hadn't changed anything. It's so damn hard running a comp like this. You try to please everybody and end up pleasing nobody.

Okay, well it's obvious that the rule changes I introduced haven't gone over well at all. That's an understatement! I thought I was doing the right thing, but obviously not. I should have just kept the rules as they were in my original post.

So, could I please get everyone's opinion on something before I go COMPLETELY INSANE over this comp.

How many people would like to simply revert back to all of the original rules of this comp?
Saturday and Public Holiday metro meetings only.
Each way betting allowed.
Only two trading periods where you can change your horses.

I apologise for all this stuffing around. As I said, I really thought I was doing the right thing, but all I've done is confuse and upset people and send myself round the bend, so I think the best thing to do is simply go back to all of the original rules that were in place when we chose our stables in the first place.

Question

Can we still reselect the stables.I have produced a new selection based on the new or is it old rules and was ready to go mid-week with a different group of animals. My old groups wern't running often enough and i thought Sportz' anytime, anywhere rule a good one.

I think I'm going to go crazy. Everybody wants something different.

You know what. I can see that I'm going to have to start up a totally new comp for betting on all meetings while at the same time keeping this one going with the original rules for Saturdays only.

im easily pleased sports, i just think that the EW option is good, for horses that may be first up or need more ground and the place looks best for them.
i think it's fine to do just metro meetings, mostly Wed and Sat, and if thats the case then some updates to the stable are in order!

Keep on punting and finding winners!
