Default Excel Formula Help

Can any of you Excel gurus out there help me with a formula to identify the longest losing sequence from a column?
Would probably prefer the cells to be blank, but it it wouldn't be a life and death scenario if the cells had to have a number entered if that's what's needed to create the formula.
Thanks in advance.

hi surround, the attached spreadsheet should be what your after, its not a single formula as such, but a new column that counts the number of cells between winners which are either blank or contain a number >0.

Thanks Davez

That was exactly what I was wanting.

I've copied your formulae into my spreadsheets and I'm up and running.

Thanks for your efforts.

Much appreciated.
