Anyone know how to get the account P&L history from the site?
It will not open with excel or as a csv?

Chrome

I've had to open them in OpenOffice first since Excel 2010 went on this machine. Resave using OpenOffice and then they'll open in Excel.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll give it a shot.
Normally it would just open in compatability mode by default, so something is screwy with their files. I remember a while back it had something to do with leading characters or something in the format.

I don't have Open Office but tried the Skydrive thing, but it came back with some Rights Management error.

It's one of two things.
The first line is blank with no data, then on line 2 are the column headings, which is why Excel thinks it's corrupt (possibly).
One field name on line 2 is missing (blank).
Importing to Access also fails.

This applies to the betting history download to spreadsheet option.

I have written a small database which will successfully import that file and can share it if anyone wants it. It's in Filemaker Pro, but I can make it a runtime, so you don't need to have the program to run it.

I'm currently investigating the betting profit and loss statement.

Never mind, the profit and loss statement doesn't contain the right info either.
No breakdown just a summary, so I'd rather input summary fields into the statement. Of course commission isn't included in the betting history and there is no option to download the account statement to spreadsheet.
Probably because they don't want people calculating commission paid

It's easy if you are a not betting many races, but so far in March, I've layed over 5,000 horses!

Chrome, one way to work out your commission is as follows -

a) download your 'Betting History' for required period - this shows net profit/loss figures for each bet prior to deductions for commission

b) download your 'Betting Profit & Loss' - this shows net profit/loss per race after deductions for commission

a minus b gives total commission paid for period.

I have found I can download the files & open them in excel 2007 but for example to use the data, I had to multiply the profit figures by 1 to be able to sum them, dunno what that's about.
