Sorry Goldmember, I have to do a bit more study on it and get back to you. I must admit I've been really slack with the NBL this year and I'm leaving it a bit late to make my pre-season picks. It's been hard to really get into it while the Football's still on. I'm sure the NBL usually starts after the Football has finished, doesn't it?

Okay, I had a look at it last night. I think both teams will have a great season and are both a strong chance of finishing in the top 4, if not winning the title.

Brisbane will begin with a few injuries, so they may start the year off a bit slowly. When they get their best team on the court however, it looks VERY strong with players like Freeman, Brannen, Rucker, Black and Kerle. Townsville have picked up a couple of strong imports and with the addition of John Rillie and the experience of Rose, I definitely expect them to improve on last year.

If I was forced to choose, I would pick the Bullets to finish just ahead of Townsville, but it'll probably be close so if you like the Crocs' chances, go for it.

By the way, I also expect Cairns to do pretty well this year, certainly better than the bookies have rated them anyway.

Good tipping, Goldmember. Just 1 point out on the under 199.5. I took the 3.5 start. Now I'm trying to work out whether to back up on Hunter tomorrow with 7.5 start.

Did you end up backing the Crocs for leading Qld team?

Well, in the end I couldn't bring myself to back the Pirates even with 7.5 points start. I'll wait to look at the odds on the weekend's games.

Missed by 1 pt again!, didnt get near my pc yesterday and missed out on the hawks, thought they were specials but they were only a $1.40 anyway.

Tonight:
Perth v's West Sydney @ Perth 5.40pm

Perth are pretty ordinary at the moment,so west sydney should win.

W/sydney win $2.20
W/sydney + 3.5 $1.85
under 202.5 $1.85

Melbourne v's Cairns @ Melb 7.40pm
Melbourne should be way too good for cairns

Melbourne win $1.70 **
under 200.5 $1.85

Townsville v's Adelaide 36ers @ Townsville 8.15pm

The 36ers are on the road again after having played in NZ on wednesday, so the crocs to win.

Townsville win $1.40
Townsville win 1-10 $2.90

A little dissapointed with the Razorbacks letting me down, putting a dent in the pocket, but a small profit overall from the 5 games i bet on[missing the hawks game - a winner]

Outlayed $500 -return $547,[11 bets-6 collects]could have been better but afterall it was only the 1st week.

cheers
