Not having a go at you DP, but I couldn't understand why so many people went for the cats. Their form had been very ordinary after the first 2 weeks when they looked like worldbeaters. And the 2 teams they beat in those first 2 wins (Brisbane and the Kangaroos), are hardly setting the world on fire. Geelong are the biggest disappointment of the season so far, and this week, they're playing against the 2nd biggest disappointment in St Kilda. If the cats can somehow get a win, they're still right in the mix, but if they lose, it's going to be a real battle for them to make the finals.

Sportz

no offence taken!! i just thought melbourne had been up for a few weeks on the road in two of those, were missing some of their best players and geelong needed to win to get back on track.

I agree about st kilda and geelong being disappointing, tells the story of the two clubs history, i was talking to a guy who is inner sanctum at st kilda and he told me that he thinks that they have missed their chance to win a flag , reckons last two years where their go.. interesting.

A radio commentator the other day said it would be more frustrating being a St Kilda fan NOW than back in the days when they got the wooden spoon every year. He said that back then, the fans wouldn't have been expecting anything great, whereas with the team they have now, their fans would be expecting success.
