Default R2W - 2 Metro winners at $101 in as many Weeks

In the spirit of others reporting their sucessues I just thought I would mention this.

Does not happen all that often, after all they are $100+ winners! But to have them in metro meetings 2 weeks apart where we picked up (and far more accurately assesed) such a huge market discrepancy is quite remarkable.

Diamond Drille $101.00 IR2-SR2
Platinum Snip $101.00 PkD2-SR3

Please don't misunderstand my intention here, I'm really proud of our ratings but I'm not trying to tell you that we get these every day, but those who are looking to exploit these value selections, or conversely AVOID these as their lay bets, our ratings will consistently deliver solid performance.

You can see our Recent winning highlight on our R2W Forum on this website or for a summary of winners at about $20 or more for a roling year can be found here.

I had a look at +/- 80,000 horses at $100+. The WSR is between 0.27% and 0.25% the latter figure being for Saturday Metro. You'll need both fingers and toes to calculate the required 'break-even' odds.

That tends to pull me towards happenstance rather than selectiveness. A very happy coincidence but nothing more. A bit like "lightning never strikes the same place twice" and then you meet a man who's been struck three times.

A treat for lucky win bettors.

A nightmare for unlucky long-price laymen :-)

I love it when people promote the myth that longshot Backers come out better.
They just keep filling up the ATM for the longshot Layer to withdraw from...lol

Who promoted what myth?

You present NO facts, NO evidence, NO sense .... to support whatever position it is you are taking and I still don't know what it is.

I would just like to point out that it certainly was NOT a 'happenstance' or a chance that those horses were rated in our ratings in such a high position.

Not all $100+ priced horses are equal; using just price alone certainly they are all same, however using ratings or other filters makes them different. Not many horses priced at $100+ make it into our top 3 of anything; not without a good reason.

Certainly waiting for such lofty winners is a game of extreme patience, however there are many at smaller double figure odds every day that allow our clients and us to create profitable systems exploiting this edge. I have illustrated this fact in several posts in the past.

I agree with you in principal because it is still very seldom that such horses even appear in our ratings; hence the initial post.

Interestingly, I had Diamond Drill rated on top @ 4.50... No, I didn't back it.

The other one I had rated to be still running next week

If rated on top at $4.50 and over $100 why would you not back it?
Just a tad overs

Hi Vortech,
Firstly, I do rate, but don't back every race. Secondly, I didn't have much time yesterday as I was involved in a power struggle with a washing machine that died halfway through a cycle the day before and began to smell as if it was already in an advanced state of decay. Bailing out putrid water with a tiny jug....

The fact is I wasn't even aware of such a price. Thing that gets me now is I normally would've had it for the place and my third rated came second.... great quinella.
