Default Dog Tips

Albion Park 1/7/10

Race 1

Despite the squeeze box, Where's Logan (5) looks a top chance in this weak novice. Beautifully bred out of middle distance bitch Nice Portrait, the white fawn dog steps up to 520m for the first time but under top trainer Selena Zammit should definitely figure in the finish. Mega Rumble (2) has shown a solid return to form after six months off the scene including a 30.36 win at headquarters. From the checks should sit just behind the early leaders but could prove too strong for this lot. Tom Fields (8) has shown tremendous pace at the provincial tracks and first up last week over the 520m at Albion was slow out and well back. that track experience could do him the world of good and with room to move out wide could find the early lead and give these something to run down. Broken Piston (1) will relish a decent draw for a change and comes off a recent 30.76 win at Ipswich which holds him in good stead.

selections
5,2,1,8

Race 2

A tough race with a few good young dogs. Chasin Chloe (1) has the draw which could be enough of an advantage to win this one. Recently posted a 30.00 win around Albion. Auriga Fox (3) has plenty of early toe, plenty of heart and has the runs on the board. winner of two Group 2 races already Auriga Fox has a track PB of 29.98 and if he leads he wins. Hanify Forte (7) has even more early pace than the first two but is a query at the distance. can probably only run 30.30 so will need a break to salute. Lawson's Hero (5) is a littermate to race 1's Where's Logan and will be rattling home late. Loves Albion Park and despite a PB of only 30.47 has plenty of improvement left in him.

selections
3,1,5,7

Race 3

another tough race here with the box draw likely to play a major part. Fie Fie (1) is a solid enough chaser to take this out with the rails draw a big advantage. Happy Clown (4) and Gnarraloo (5) easily fastest dogs in the field but if they miss the start ever so slightly they will be in big trouble. Happy Clown has a brilliant record over the T/D with 5 wins from 7 starts. has recently been freshened and should start favourite. Gnarraloo has never shown much over the middle distance with just the 1 victory from 8 starts but has been plagued by bad box draws and here is another one. Midnight Surf (8) has a solid record at Albion Park and from out wide could cross and lead this field.

selections
4,1,5,8

Race 4

Boot Strings (1) on paper looks a moral in this. Has a PB of 30.05 and last week almost matched that with a 30.07 victory. Positano (3) looks the only danger but has lost its early pace of late despite some solid performances overall. Uno Trivia (4) has enough early pace to lead the inside dog but the 520m pulls him up pretty quick. Tomisha's Gold (2) throws in a solid race every now and then and likes an inside draw.

selections
1*,3,2,4

Race 5

Tom Noble has some of the most erratic dogs i've ever seen race (including Happy Clown in race 3) another of those dogs appears here in Terrific Style (5). Four starts back Terrific Style motored through a 5.64 first section for a brilliant 30.20 win. since then it has mixed form and has gone nowhere near as quick early. From box 5 its 50/50 which dog will turn up. Give Em Curry (1) shows enough pace to be in the race for a long way. has won 2 of its last 3 and has a solid PB of 30.51 which could win this race. Uno Play Boy (8) has made a return to sprint racing after a distance campaign and could overpower these if close enough early. Hillcrest Gwen has its first Albion Park start but is smartly trained by Glenda Dart and has shown enough on provincial tracks to compete in this provided she handles the track.

selections
5,1,8,4

Race 6

Another rails selection here with early speedster Our Miss Maud (1). Has a recent PB of 30.30 under its belt and consistently runs 5.70 early sections. will lead for a long way. Blazing Chaos (6) has returned from a stint in Victoria recently with huge wraps but has so far failed to live up to expectations. just cant run 520m. Best Behaviour (7) is another of the Where's Pedro - Nice Portrait litter and the best performed. has a PB of 30.34 here and looks well suited out wide to get a nice run across. Luva Drink (8) has been around a while and consistenly runs into the money. doesn't mind it out wide and experience could prove vital over these youngsters.

selections
1,7,8,6

Race 7

The distance race for the night is pretty typical with all 8 runners a chance. really tough race. unless you have a little inside info on these runners steer clear. Saturn Assassin (3) is a strange bitch unlike others i know that it only runs well when its on season, most bitches cant run. Lady Tycoon (2) will benefit plenty from its first start over the distance and with a good run early is the one to beat. Bare Essentials (8) has been hot this T/D of late winning 2 of 3 and a 42.31 its best. Gold Sonata (4) returns to the staying ranks despite a solid PB of 42.10 hasn't been impressive enough over 710m to tip on top.

selections
2,3,4,8

Race 8

I like Gnarley Boy (5). has a week freshen up on his side here which i think will give him the pace to lead this field. Ryan's a Rocket (1) is a box one specialist and despite its poor form of late could bounce back. Berella Rihanna (7) has been winning well lately and leading easily. Premier Chief (3) isn't the fastest in the field but for a long while now has been the most consistent. has been in winning form of late and always a danger.

selections
5,7,3,1

Race 9

Pure Surf (1) has run last his past 3 starts. despite that off the draw i think has the opportunity to lead. Lilly's Field (4) is second up from a spell and ran a solid third first up. should be improved by that run and can run time. I'm Puzzled Too (2) will compete for the early lead but is weak in the run home despite being a middle distance galloper, and has a solid record at the track. Roman Express (3) has been in far stronger ffields of late and will enjoy the drop in class.

selections
1,4,3,2

race 10

Big Baz (5) has been racing against far superior company of late and despite the middle box should be more than capable nof defeating this bunch. ********** Bell (7) is out of 600m track record holder Oreo and has group form through his career. Big Danger. Hez Regal (1) will enjoy an inside draw and has a PB of 35.21 this T/D, however can be hit and miss at box rise which is a worry. Best of the rest Midnight Lee (6) with 2 minor placings from 4 starts this T/D.

selections
5,7,6,1

Best Bet
Boot Strings

Best Quinella
Fie Fie/Happy Clown

Best Tri
Chasin Chloe/Auriga Fox/Lawson's Hero

Quaddie
1,5/1,7/F/5,7

I have zero interest in Queensland Greyhound races , but can I commend you for your massive output and effort here ijuanda.

Hopefully a similar minded reader could play with you and provide some sort of banter to make it worth your while to continue.

Ok so an average night on the punt at Albion with just 4 winners. next up Wenty Park 3/7/10

Race 1

tough race to start with all average on the track or new to it. Costa Lot (6) comes off a nice run at the Gardens last start where he worked home nicely. First up at wenty obviously a worry but handled Gardens first up well. Not An Angel (3) looks the early leader but has so far struggled to run any sort of time at the track. the early lead might pinch it for it. Confused Tommy (2) has chased home a few smart ones in his last few starts in Outa Credit (Reg Kay) and Humdrum (Jackie Roy) and given a clear run early could clean these up in the home straight. Euro Jet (8) is the most experienced at the track with 8 starts. 5 of those have produced placings. doesn't mind a wide draw.

selections
2,8,3,6

Race 2

A great race with some top dogs. Humdrum (1) has been in fantastic form of late and is in the good hands of top country trainer Jackie Roy. Has won 3 from 5 this t/d and is 1 of 1 from box. Can be tardy early but if safely around first turn will be a threat. Numero Uno Bale (4) is a top young dog who i think is more suited to a one turn track purely because of how long he takes to wind up in his races. More Space (5) is a wonderful beginner and his only start at Wenty was an all the way 30.27 win. Paua to Disarm (8) doesnt have the class of the others but has a track PB of 30.32 and could challenge the yellow for the lead.

selections
1,5,4,8

Race 3

Interesting distance race that will likely revolve around Bernie Beetroot (8). resuming from 6 week break has the class on this field and can handle a wide box. Pyfo Mostly (4) will enjoy vacant boxes inside and out. has a decent track record and could be the early leader. Outside those two its an open affair. Miss Bossy Boots (7) ran a nice second two starts ago behind Clark No Ee but is a massive risk from an outside draw. Katelyn's Promise (2) will start plenty with the bookies but has decent enough form around Richmond and did hit the lead at its only start this T/D before fading badly.

selections
4,8,2,1

Race 4

Adhara Shine (8) looks like being slim odds in this despite winning just 5 of 25. of those 5 wins has run 29.99 at Wenty and 30.57 at Richmond. has won from out wide before and is a last start winner at Wenty coming from near last so can do it from in front and behind. Jedd Lion (2) is a top class dog who has over $100K in prizemoney. loves an inside draw and will figure in finish. Flo Able Man (7) has had a form reversal of late with back to back LAW wins at the Gardens. Naomi's Dream (6) looks a solid chance to add to the exotics.

selections
8*,2,6,7

You wouldn't happen to have one of those wireless broadband things with the 3 Company would you?

I do and am very annoyed.
I guess you gets what you pays for - $20 a month.

half correct Moe i do have a wireless pitichka but its with an Optus off-shoot company called Blink and yes it is a joke.

Race 5

Direct Jolie (8) looks well placed in an open affair. Enjoys the wide box and despite a fading run last start did cop a fair few checks in running. Bit Stressed (5) has run fast times at Richmond and the Gardens and has won three at the track, however the squeeze box could be its undoing should it miss the start. Nimbastic (3) has been around forever and class could see it win this race. Full Blast (6) is a former G1 Golden Easter Egg finalist who will get back early in the race but look for her to motor home late.

selections
5,3,8,6

Race 6

Monamour (6) has been flying of late with victories at the Gardens and Gosford in solid time and despite winning only 2 of 11 at Wenty, one of those victories is a 30.15 win. Chevy Assassin (1) was ultra impressive last start off the inside and a repeat performance will result in victory here. Hesa Felon (2) has plenty of pace and class about him and will enjoy a draw closer to the fence. Blinga (3) is an honest chaser and if can get a nice trail early will get to the line hard.

selections
1,3,6,2

just the one winner at wenty but did get a couple tris during the night. tonight we move to canberra with the first in just under half hour we'll put the first couple up.

Race 1

a difficult maiden to sum up with a couple of first starters the query. Ashby Elly (4) is one of those and comes into this race with an average 23.23 trial win. Out of champion bitch Kumta Chase who has suprisingly been an ordinary broodbitch throwing very little. Polly Wolly (3) is coming off a nice second last start behind speedster Myalla Mystic where is vied for the lead and stuck on well. Cawbourne Jade (8) has been only average in three starts to date but is in the hands of supreme Canberra trainer Andy Lord. Be wary at odds. Banker's Banquet (1) is from a nice litter and from the red will be a threat.

selections
1,3,4,8

Race 2

another hard maiden to pick although on paper looks a race in two. Kate Leigh (1) was well backed first start before running second. another trained by Andy Lord and after not having a winner last weekend could be in for a big night. Sir Tempa (6) comes back to racing after 2 months off following its first start. That start was a nice second at Dubbo over 313m. Is by Big Daddy Cool out of Group winner Ayeffell and at 35kg can miss the start a little and still get round the first corner safe. Flossy Flirt (8) lines up for her 13th start as a maiden and has been plagued by middle and wide draws. gets no favours here from the pink but has run 5 solid placings to date including a third behind last nights Wenty Park placed Art of Desire. Of the rest Myalla Classic (2) has been running ok over this T/D to run a drum.

selections
6,1,8,2
