Talking Wagga R7

Anyone watch this one??

The caller called the wrong horse hitting the front and winning, so naturally it traded at 1.01, when in fact it was well down the track. The clever got the money there.

And no I didn't get any.

This happens more than one might imagine.
Especially in dog races or when they get tongue tied and go for the last one they remember talking about.
Not every day, but certainly more than one in a thousand

Reminds me of Ron Papps in Adelaide, he earned the moniker of Pappslotto because he was all over the place and often called the wrong winner or a winner that wasn't even in the finish. This was around the 1990's when he was losing his edge. He got the sack eventually, and it's public news he had some serious problems and addictions.

Yeah, there was a bad fall, three runners went down or lost their riders & the caller didnt have much of clue what was going on from that point so I can only imagine the ensuing chaos with the in running markets.

Just on in running, if not already doing so interested parties might want to start checking some of the trots markets, volumes are starting to get up there, I assume to the extra time punters have to make decisions.

Also to give him his due, the two horses in question were wearing quite similar colours, not the other two with the similar colours he mentioned early in running, but the horses he got confused with were the same basic colour silks.

Angry

It's not the first time Alan Hull has made mistakes though,
This is by far the worst for a while.

I dread Sydney Country meetings where he is calling,
If I'm listening for my horse(s) in the run I make sure,
I know the exact colours, then look a 2nd-3rd-4th time,
On Sky after he has called them to make sure I'm watching,
The right horse.

There's a worse one on the Queensland Country circuit,
But I will wait another day for him.

Cheers.
Garyf.
