Default think i won

I also got the below message , but after I explained to them that I had f**ed up my bot settings(it was looking at world wide horse racing) I got this message from them.
Please provide the below information for our review:

• For what purpose do you intend to you use your account?
• What sports and markets will you bet into?
• Of the markets you read/view what percentage do you expect to place bets in?
• What is your anticipated number of bets per market?
• What is your anticipated monthly betting volume?
• Do you work for a betting operator or any supplier to a betting operator, or have you in the past? If yes, please provide details.

after I filled that out I got this back
The market data delay has now been removed from your account. Please be aware however that live market data is for betting purposes only. The Historical Data Service https://historicdata.betfair.com/#/home is available for analysis purposes. Continued extensive viewing of live market data without requisite betting activity will result in further restrictions.

soo as uselessbettor said talking with them sorted it out

Stupid question.
Never used historical data before, it comes in a .tar file, OK unzip it.

Gives me a folder P_\Data\xds\historic\basic\28367791\
this I can further extract and get two .bz2 files 1.133722926.bz2 and 28367791.bz2
Neither opens anywhere.

I was expecting a csv file. What happened?

I don't know as I don't use it but the FAQ say:

The files are downloaded as compressed .tar files and can be opened using zip utility such as WinZip / 7zip. The data is provided in .json format.

Assuming you've download 7zip and are using Windows, please follow the below instructions to view the data held within the files:

Start> Computer > Downloads.
Select the downloaded file
Right click > Select 7 zip > Open archive.
Access the file directory and select one of the files.
Select the file you'd like to open
Right click & select 'Open With'
Select 'Notepad'
The data will then be available in Notepad in .json format. You can then use other tools to convert the data into the format of your choice.

Please note: The files contain recorded from the Stream API output and need to be processed in the same way as if you were consuming the live Stream API i.e. each line needs to be parsed independently

File are provided by both marketId and eventId. Event files contain all marketId’s within an event and these are interleaved with each other based on ascending published time order.

1.133722926.bz2 is the market file
28367791.bz2 is the event file.
