Following on from my posting about Quarter horse races we should also have:
# Dog races for breeds other than Greyhounds/Whippets say Dingoes or Foxes. # Cat races - they could chase a mouse instead of a rabbit # Pigs getting chased by Wild Dogs. The possibilities are unless! |

Love those monkeys from those 1950`s news reels.
Their faces said it all , something out of a Monty Python scetch.(Totally mad.)

Better to have a banana on the lure, rather than a rabbit - and watch those monkeys ride hands and heels!!!!

My idea is that there should be long distance races for the really old geldings that can't keep up in the 3000m races at Moonee Valley. Mostly run them in the winter months and make the weight scale a lot higher to cater for the heavier jockeys.
Perhaps to satisfy the bloodthirsty punters amongst us they could place a series of obstacles in the way; brick walls, fallen logs that sort of thing. Only a mug would bet on it but it could be good for its comical value. Oh, sorry, Victoria have already thought of it. I'll have to think of something else equally as inane then. |

Here's an idea:
Make them jump over water pits filled with Crocodiles - that will teach them to jump! or run backwards! |
