Default canberra tonight

race 1

Mr Gillis (8) brings some solid wenty park form to canberra and will enjoy the step up to 600. likes the wide draw and looks the one to beat. Extreme Climate (6) has liked the step up to middle distance of late but has to deal with the green box. had it drawn the inside would be the on top selection. Perpetual Motion (3) has trialled well but hasnt had much luck so far. step up to 600 looks a little too early but time will tell. the rest are a motley crew of which Jakaytor (2) looks the best off an inside draw

8*,6,3,2

race 2

Magical Flex (1) gets the lead here pretty easy and should be 6 in front at the post the first time round. can he hold on???? Come in Stranger (5) will enjoy the small 6 dog field and will be the only danger to the red. Takes Tenacity (8) comes in with solid provincial form and should provide the trifecta. Royella Rose (7) is a maiden after 85 starts and will still be after tonight but it can run on into the exotics.

1*,5,8,7

race 3

Me Confused (5) represents its name perfectly. was on track at goulburn for its first start where it was backed off the map but didnt get the chockies after starting slow and rattling home. cant begin slow here from an awkward draw here and tough corner start. makes it a dangerous bet. Meggsy Zarr (1) returns from an unsuccessful tilt at the grafton maiden but looks well suited here off the rails and can run time here. Where's Tammy (7) winless after 29 starts but does have 14 placings to its credit. Defying Gravity (6) brings solid maiden city form to canberra and will be running on.

1,5,7,6

race 4

tough race. Ace's Gift (4) easily best dog in the field however needs to get its own way in front. hasnt enjoyed being battled for the lead last few starts. Bimberoo Breed (2) has a solid win here and from a favourable draw will be in the finish. Our Jessie (8) has good country form but is yet to break thru with that first. might not get one here but is a definite danger. One and Ate (5) has been well supported into favouritism at its first two starts but finished runner up at both

2,5,4,8

race 5

Cool Jorgia (3) has only won 1 from 20 but has finished in the placings impressively its last few starts. Lara Faye Osti (1) looks the one to beat from a good draw. Bella Dora (5) could be a knockout chance but the draw makes it hard. if good odds, i will be on. Ill Knock You (8) is a quick winner this t/d but has looked ordinary last couple of runs.

5,1,3,8

race 6

Mean Norma Jean (7) looks to back up a first start win this t/d but goes from the one box to the seven. if it can handle the wide draw, will win on 3 legs. Queen Flush (5) steps back in distance but looks solid enough and is in the kennels of top trainer neil staines. Silent Commando (2) can improve here while Walkaway Cam (6) is racing well but the drop back from 520m to 310m looks a query.

7*,6,5,2

race 7

Grungell Drama (6) hasnt had the best of luck lately and with the step down in class looks like it can bounce back into the winners circle. Oh Watta Mover (3) has looked promising since coming to canberra from melbourne and will again be hard to beat. Goose Roxon (1) and Bear Park Tully (7) best of the rest but mix form of late

6,3,1,7

race 8

Good Race here and the Lisa Mcfarlane pair hold the key for me. Bluey Deepwater (1) has hit a purple patch of late and should it lead they wont get near it. Berridale Queen (7) is a good dog but needs to stop Mikado Flex (8) from crossing early. Big Zed (5) unlucky here to draw poorly. drawn inside or outside would start favourite.

8,1,5,7

race 9

tough race here with a few good dogs. probably best to leave this race alone. hard to choose between Rango Izmir (2), Garlett (5), and Octane Osti (6) Garlett is the best of the 3 but can dwell at the start while the other 2 are consistently good beginners. draw might pinch it for Rango. Albino Inc (8) to fill the first four

2,5,6,8

race 10

Greysynd Raider (2) best of the night here. has been getting better and better every run. Milly Flex (8) from the strong Bannerman camp and gets a good draw here in the bleachers. He's Really Cool (5) has solid form this t/d and White Marble (4) has good city form.

2**,8,4,5

good luck and good punting
