Mr. Ed, sorry for the long time between replies. I am at Melbourne studdying Commerce/media.

Just goes to show one persons misfortune is another ones fortune, i got 22's that day tenacious beat amtrak. Also shows how following a horse can pay off, rathe than considering just the form of the current race. Ie. if you lined up the form of amtrak and ts as you and most others probably did, amtrak would be the clear selection. It just so happened that i had been following the mare through the mid-weekers and continued to follow when she got to saturday grade.

The fnny thing was that the first time i backed her midweek she won and payed like 8's then she won again and still payed good each way odds. I then went to back her a third time and she was still e/w odds - obviously slipped under the radar of many.

I don't know about her return i have been asking around but knowone seems to have an idea. I am guessing she will probably be set for the spring. But she has had close to a year off scene.

Good to see there are some other young punters around.

Cheers,
Matt

Hmmm, would be good to know if she's coming back. I might have to include her in my list of horses for the Fantasy Racing comp just in case.

Unhappy

I think At Peace should probably Rest In, nah he will win a race at odds soon (i promise).

Funnily enough, Tenacious Spirit is entered on Monday at the valley in what looks a top notch sprint race.

What price we get Electic for tomorrow? I got the tip b4 it won first up and has absolutely ******** in both starts since spell, grows a leg in the wet and the rain i saw on the footy tonight should suit it perfectly, unless the races are called off. Might get even money + because the only danger; Attractions, was racing in top company last time in around Moet Magic, Dr John, Stormy Nova all very good horses. He is untried in the heavy however and has run good races but never won first up. Can't have enough on Electic if the odds are right, in an otherwise un-eventful day for me.

Well Electic was at $1.80, close enough, so i unloaded. 4/5 shots don't win like that very often, especially when i'm on. Exacta with Attractions paid $4.30 was definately the go however.

Just looking at the fields it looks a busy week for me, with a lot of my stable running in what look to all be suitable targets.

I've seen, before weights barriers etc.

Miss Starnee @ Cheltenham Saturday - Just went down and cost me plenty last time but is in rare form and will be a nice chance.

Willie Command @ Sandown Saturday - Great win @ track distance last time, meets some better horses but looks sure to be in the finish.

Tearinupthecountry @ Ipswich Satruday - Up in class but is a restricted race and he should get a nice weight drop, last win was grand and could go right on with it now.

Sovereign Fire @ Albury Saturday - Weak field, big run last time, just wins for mine.

Perhaps we should retitle this thread Hot Chips, but i just want to remember all these.

Tommorow i will be having a good crack @ El Man Goss, have followed him since his first start (4 length win this T,D), and he looks one out of the box. Jumped straight from a C3 to a C6 metro @ the Valley when last in work and came from seemingly immposible position when bursting through the field to claim track specialist Beach Box on the line. He then went to the Flem Straight and flew down the outside rail to be just beaten by the smart Twisted Times. His next start really hurt me when sent out short priced favorite @ Geelong, had a nice run but didn't show his usual ping in the straight, when making his run on the inside and was beaten a long nk by Air Cooled, who is no walker. He's a winner of 3 from 3 whilst fresh and is a heavy track winner. Tommorows field isn't weak and he will get back, which should ensure a decent quote of say $4-5, however he has a ************ of a sprint and i really think this fellow will go onto bigger and better things and will clean this field up on the way.

Will let Opio Miss go around without me tommorow, she should have won last time, but that was a weak race, much harder here taking on the boys (El Zahia in particular). She's drawn out, also going back in distance onto a track with a shorter straight. Will not be surprised if she runs well (without Hinton on) but not worth the risk in my book.

Anyone with thoughts on tommorows races please share them, I; like you Mav, really enjoy discussing tips rather then just listing them.

Cheers ED
