This years Caulfield Cup sees selections being taken on trust rather than form. Favourites Kaapstad Way and Primrose Sands have slightly better form than other runners but nothing outstanding. I am going to take an old favorite of mine Hit The Roof. His form has been average but so has all the other runners.
What are your thoughts on the form going into this years Caulfield Cup?

I wouldn't be putting a cent on Kaapstad Way now. The horse is hopeless in the wet. Do his backers also know what the weather is going to be like on the day? When you put it like that it seems a pretty stupid bet.

The form is good a solid punter will watch, read and analyse everything for this race. Form lines are there, you just have to know which ones are worth looking at.

The best formline in the race for mine is Ethereal's yesterday, but not sure how she goes in the wet.
Primrose Sand's is the next best but looked to have had more than enough on the line, though arguably entitled to have.

whenever you see kaapstaad way in a race, anchor it for 2nd or 3rd in your trifectas, he's a professional placegetter.

Well its come around again and although my hope Native Jazz is out it is still a race a great interest.
Why oh why but I keep on coming back to Inaflury. She loves Caulfield and is in fair form. She starts for 12 the same gate she won from 2 starts back and is 5th up as she was 2 year ago when she ran a very good third. I wish her well and if she can't do it I hope Sale of Century does.

If it wins , I'm a genius, if it doesn't, well it was only a longshot.....

Watch out for Hot riff in Race 9.

Don't count out good ol' Kaapstad, if the track is upgraded to dead keep it very much in mind. On the wet ground, im lookin at a forgotten horse in Sir Clive.

Other races horses to watch; R4-All Courage, R7-Oamaru Force, R9-Purple Groove.
