Default Question for Mark

Mark because I know you're into this.

Today I have 3 screens up Betfair + 2 others. MR2, I notice that $6.50c FIXED is available for No 2 at the same moment you can lay it on BF @ $5.50c,

in the same race No10 is available @$6 FIXED, but you can lay it $4.60c, HUH?

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what I'm getting at here, my question Mark as I know you are a veteren does this happen a lot or was it just a freak race?

Hi Party

I hope you took advantage of it as it does not happen often enough.
When BF started, its markets generally followed IAS but now it's very much the other way around. When you see this sort of thing I think it's best to back with IAS first, then lay off on BF, as IAS are very quick to shorten up their prices. I found this out the other week, the hard way. They were 3.30 on somthing that was 2.90 on BF, so I laid then went to back on IAS.....sorry the price has changed to........2.70 !!! Of course it shortened even more on BF. Be especially careful midweek as it doesn't take much for them to shorten.

Thanks for the feedback Mark, I got one in the next race 15-1 IAS 14-1 lay BF, it lost, only a 7% profit but I tell you it gives me the fuzzies, love it!
One question do you think the way to go is free bets on shorties (i.e. back at say $3, lay @ $2.80) or % taking on long shots? or just take whatever you can get?

As mark said take it when you get it. Used to do this, works well when you get all those sign up bonuses
