Sorry Goldmember, I'd love to help you out but I don't quite understand what it is you're trying to do. What does the website say?

EG: swans $4.25 against collingwood . they gave swans 39% chance of winning
[39* 4.25]-1 = 65.75%

precentage to gamble
= overlay
-------
price-1

$100 bank

.6575
------ = 20.23% = $20.23 bet on swans
4.25-1

i coulnt come up with that amount

A price of $4.25 is actually 3.25 to 1. 65.75 divided by 3.25 is definitely 20.23. Is that where you're having trouble or are you having trouble with how they get the 65.75?

Thanks sportz, youve saved my grey hair turning white, i was using 4.25-1 not thinking of just using $3.25. Its so easy now that you pointed it out,i couldnt arrive at the 20.23 before thanks a bundle , i'll be able to sleep tonight LOL

Personally, I think that's a bit high anyway. If you had a bank of $100, I wouldn't suggest you spend 20% of it on one game!

I wouldnt either, it was a EG they had from a game awhile ago to show how they came up with a amount to bet. the overlay was pretty high, they still predicted collingwood to win 61% [dont know who won that game]

thanks again
