Default The Race

The straight course at Ascot underwent complete reconstruction ahead of the course’s reopening in 2006. Ascot now has an uninterrupted straight mile course following the elimination of the road crossing and a completely new drainage system has been integrated. The King’s Stand Stakes is run on the final 1200m (last 1000m) of the straight mile, with the course rising gradually throughout from the start to the winning post.

Benbaun (IRE) - just beat by Takeover Target in last years race..,,runner-up or winner all 4 starts since including a first-up win over 1200m at the Curragh late last month..,,has to be a top chance this year

If you fancy Benbaun then you'd have to give Desert Lord a chance!
A real speed machine over the 5 furlongs.
Just pipped by Benbaun when last they met.

...one of my bets last year was Tax Free..was up with them for the 1st 700/800 but slowly dropped off to be beatan about 5 lens..won 5 races since so perhaps better than that run..got 15/1 last year (from memory) 6/1 currently not very attractive..if he drifts a bit might have a saver

Trainer Mark Wallace believes Benbaun to be a better horse than last year.
Contemplating running Benaun in both the King's Stand Stakes & the Golden Jubilee Stakes.
