As you can see most of my tipping revolves around the round ball game, however threw a couple of NRL games in the mix for some fun and it almost backfired on me.

Had my heart in my mouth this afternoon with the roosters almost blowing it for me...

And to think I was gunna take the Arsenal v Tottenham match as a draw (3.90) instead of roosters v dragons, could have paid triple. My previous best collect was 8/8 when i picked the whole first round of the european champions league, which you would appreciate is probably the most difficult competition goin round from a tipping perspective.

Anyone who would like to discuss sports multi-betting please get in touch as I would like to share my knowledge of soccer and learn more about some other sports.

Hey that is very impressive.

Im assuming it was on centrebet as I have an account on there too and I like to do multis as well. Although admittedly I just stake huge amounts on teams im confident of.

I specialise in AFL and soccer myself.

We should share info!

Looking at your multi-bet I agree with all of your soccer selections except I hate betting on teams away from home. I just took bolton-portsmouth-newcastle-ipswich town-kaiserslauten (championship and bundesliga) pick 5 for $50 which paid $890.

I also have a pick 3 on at the moment which was stg first try-collingwood under 39.5 points-aston villa. What are your thoughts on aston villas chances? I dont like them now, looks very draw-ish to me.

Thanks Ambivalent.

Indeed it was placed on centrebet however I have numerous online accounts and after searching for good prices, 2.25 for Valencia was way over odds, I don't care where they were playing, they are gunning for a place in the champions league and nothing was going to stop them. In fact, it was my shortest priced option Real Madrid who were playing at home and had to come from behind + score in injury time to secure the points. Funny game this soccer is but if you do your homework tipping can be pretty cruisey. I steer clear of one league in particular and never bet on this competition because there is so much corruption in it, but apart from that I will bet on anyone as long as I give them a more than excellent chance of winning.

Its good to hear that you specialise in AFL because I am keen to have a dip in that market, and betfair has been quite kind to me in recent weeks (+46.5 points for Richmond @ 1.92 LOL). Great tip on the pies I am very keen to share tips with you in this sport.

Aston Villa v Man City... hrrmmm a real jammy in general I would steer clear of this sort of match but I would have to say Villa is probably what I would have taken, both teams in ordinary form but Man City seem to be suffering from the loss of Joey Barton in the heart of midfield. Villa are desperate for the points because another loss could spell real trouble for them as Portsmouth are charging up the table, while Man City have an extra game in hand. In saying that, Man City are on a killer losing streak and the law of averages suggests that some sort of result is headed their way.

You were right Classiconi, Man City got up 1-0 to defeat my multi. I was never confident on that match.

What are your thoughts on tonights champions league/EPL matches?

Barcelona v AC Milan - Leaning towards Barcelona or the draw as Barcelona only need to protect their 1-0 lead.

West Ham v Liverpool - Draw or Liverpool, not sure, this one is tough to pick. West Ham can be difficult to beat at home and Liverpool have been playing a lot of matches lately (albeit a very impressive FA Cup win over Chelsea).

Hey Ambivalent AC Milan are my team so my opinion may be biased however I don't think they should be written off at all for this fixture. With proven goalscorers Shevchenko + Inzaghi up front, Kaka and Seedorf feeding ball and Cafu giving them width on the right, I can't see Milan not being able to score a goal in two consecutive champions league matches against a backline which I would only regard as satisfactory. Marquez and Puyol are on yellow cards and I can see them being quite tentative especially in the opening 30 minutes. On merit Barca deserve to go to Paris for the final however the best team on paper doesn't always win. I would definitely have Milan amongst the goals and as such my tip is 1-2 with Milan going through to the final on the away goal rule.

West Ham v Liverpool - On any given day Liverpool are a 3 goal better team than the hammers. I played against Reo-coker and Ferdinand as a Spurs youth team player and do not particularly rate them. All their best talent (Carrick, Cole, Ferdinand) end up at bigger clubs and West Ham are stuck with scraps. Liverpool are a day fresher and have a full squad to select from, so my tip is 0-2 in favour of Liverpool.

I know you won't find these tips appealing Ambi as you don't really like backing away teams but I do give both teams realistic chances of winning.

There are not enough midweek fixtures atm so I'm keeping my wagering to weekend fixtures, any upcoming fixtures you fancy? Im quite happy to discuss fixtures in all sports.

At the moment I really like richmond to beat carlton and melbourne to beat the kangaroos. I think they are certainties. Both should be close, tight matches so <39.5 is a good value option. I will wait and see the team sheets first before doing anything as I know carlton expect Waite and Fevola back.

Also an early glance at this weeks rugby league reveals a HUGE value pick. Melbourne underdogs vs St George at home! They are in sparkling form and are a high scoring team. Manly also present as logical winners over what I consider to be a highly-overrated Parramatta side.

I like liverpool tonite..... The chance of changes in the side worries me a little......and Ive thrown FC Zurich into the equation as well (another away team).....I thought Liverpool might try to Hammer the Hammers tonite to soften them up mentally for the encounter in Cardiff ...but obviously not if raph is going to rest players .....although they do have some depth and they have played a fair bit of football of late as has west ham

Barcelona v Milan 0-0

I kid you not though Milan were robbed, the goal which was disal???ed was perfectly legitimate, I can't believe the ref awarded a free kick to Barcelona, this was a champions league semi final not amateur grade.

West Ham v Liverpool 1-2

Yeah went pretty well how I thought it would, Liverpool cruise home in 3rd gear.

Yeah I took the Draw-Liverpool double on the back of everybodies analysis and my gut feeling.

lol reo coker scored!

In tonights UEFA Cup I think Middlesbrough will choke against Steaua Bucuresti and I cant split Sevilla and Schalke.
