Is it possible that the Chrome Prince is repairing the family seat, back yonder?

Nah, I don't look at any other Forums, so I don't know if he's still around or not,..... but I think he is about our vintage so anythings possible.

Disappeared from everywhere. Somebody has stated sadly that this was due to a very fundamental reason. Sadly missed.

Unfortunately when some events happen, some of the people you communicate on a constant basis are forgotten. Understandable but unfortunate. Some of your closest friends are online, never physically met.

That's the thing about these forums.. never physically met perhaps but there can be a 'meeting of the mind' in here that lasts for an eternity.
i.e. postings and real-time exchanges are still here for all to see, despite any unfortunate(sad?) events which occur in the real world. That would be apart from an act of god like the server goes down or someone forgets to pay the bill? (I will not dwell on other possibilities!)

You can live on 'forever' in here and perhaps in a way that is difficult or impossible to duplicate in the real world. Which is somewhat daunting and exciting at the same time.

N'est pas?

Cheers LG

Here's a challenge for anyone, but one for the gamblers;
Is to clean break entirely from all internet and computers, no phone land-line, nada nada nada, nothing.
No internet, no computers, but internet cafe allowed to check the occasional email.
"Cold Turkey" in other words.
Mobile fone allowed for family etc, obviously.

lasted about 18 months and got a sense of "freedom" that money can't buy.
When I "got back" where do ya think the first place I reluctantly probed ?

Horse Racing.

Maybe that's what happens when we don't see the regulars for a while.
