Just a thought. I know a lot of you who contribute to this forum are interested in spreadsheets. As I have a passion for the Melbourne Cup, I have a basic spreadsheet for those who share a similar passion, and care to get a jump on the race. I am happy to email it to all who are interested. Since joining this forum, I have had a great time reading your informative posts, and admire your restraint in not turning this forum into a slanging match like many other forums. Therefore I would like to contribute my imput, as you all do. Most figures will be correct, and up to date. I'm fairly sure my WFA column is not correct. It is hard to work out the different months a horse is born! Maybe somebody has a method, and can share with us all. Of course you will need, and be comfortable with Excel to work this sheet. The times are actual winning times, rounded down for simplicity. Some times are guestimated by margin. Either way, you can adjust as races are run. Cheers...

Thanks Tab Hunter. There are unfortunately always the occasional characters, who because they think they are anonymous, try and turn the forum into a slanging match etc. and post comments they wouldn't dare say face to face. Because of the great work of all our moderators we quickly restrict them from posting so the forum can be enjoyed by all.

Good on you quapi, a great job by you and the moderators. Keep it up! Debates are heathly, but when it becomes personal, it draws the line. This is a great community of punters, and although it is still small, will grow with reputation. Cheers...

Media Puzzle penalized 1.5Kg's for his record breaking run! Impressive... Don't forget no horse has gone on to win a Melbourne Cup, but no horse has won the race in such a time, he already has changed the record books. Those with the Formguide change his weight to 52.5, his 2400 time to 2.26G, and WFA Rating to -6.... Cheers

Not that it has helped me...

Hi all well a huge late request for the spreadsheet, but I have to tell you, it was mainly to offer some assistance with the OS runners, and try to line up their times with our Australasian locals, to get on early in the Doubles. It won't be of such great assistance to you now as you have formguides and prices in front of you. Anyway, if you are still confused, join the club, but below is our ratings for the Cup. A combination of 20 punters who have dedicated themselves to our goal of grabbing the First Four on the NSW Tote. Our combination will be 5x8x9x12, so wish us luck, and I intern wish you all the very best of luck in the Cup. Cheers.
