Vain Crusader all the way

The big problem for Confectioner is the inside barrier. As a backmarker and over this distance it would take a miracle to get out for a run.
It will be like dodgem cars, buffeted from pillar to post from barrier 2 for a backmarker. I don't know how the horse would go if the jockey is told to go forward [?]

Vain Crusader is going to get a perfect run ...so is Niconero.

Yes, you would think so regarding Confectioner wouldn't you Crash, but she did pull it off (or very nearly) from the #2 Barrier at last start here.
Polar Bear loves the 1800 and has seen the track now, Scenic Shot seemed distressed last time but should show up, love Vain Crusader but surrounded by 'grown ups' and we all know an improving roughie that may prove a diamond in the rough!
Although I am posting with an almost perfect strike rate of zero I am not yet reduced to making a case for all entries in the event.I do figure tho that I have to get lucky sometime, judging from the past that will be when I'm not on.
I like Polar Bear, particularly because Hayes is talking up Confectioner and I simply CAN'T win on Niconero, Scenic Shot and the Gem for third.
Good Luck all

I sacked Polar Bear after tipping it last week. I will have another look as perhaps it needed the run on the track and has settled down from the traveling.

Extremely unhappy with the mild weather on these big race days as that has a leveller effect for the visitors....usual blistering hot days knocks them around but not today.

Damn hard race this one I am finding it real tough to settle on anything I'll have something on both Hartleys Dream and Purde after that not sure where I will go

And Niconero trounces them!
I had a feeling Vain Crusader was going to prove a bit of a pretender at this level [yet].

Hi all

Yes was a good race. I didn't get a chance to put my ratings up this week. I have found that at this time of year 3yo do not have a great strike rate even though they return high ratings.

Its a trap i am cautious off when i see a 3yo rated highly not long after there birthday against the more mature horses.
