Great effort Shaun & MyHatMyCoat!
Shaun gave us 2 winners including POWER PATROL ($6.60) but most importantly the QUINELLA $54.40, EXACTA $111.30 & TRIFECTA $496.10 in race 4 (with only 3 picks) while MyHatMyCoat gave us 4 winners including SUPER TOM ($6.30) & SABRE CHIEF ($16.60) as well as KONJO (2nd) almost producing a boilover in the last paying $12 place. Also $39.20 tri R1, $91.60 tri R2 & QUINELLA $63.10 & EXACTA $151.70 in R7. Very unlucky not to scoop the lot in R7 – 4 selections for 1st, 2nd with the other 2 dead-heating for 4th!
Well done my boyos!!

I see MR. TAMBOURINEMAN is top-weight in 7th at Darwin Saturday.
Smallish field and step up to 1900M certainly in his favour.
Not sure if he could be penalised (Darwin Cup) if he won in which case might run a close 2nd

Reported in the press this morning that WA trainer Steve Wolfe's appeal against a 12-month ban over the fall of Savage Cabbage will go ahead next Monday.
Stewards originally banned Wolfe for 2 years for treating Savage Cabbage with the anti-inflammatory drug Phenylbutazone before the horse broke a leg and fell in a barrier trial at Belmont Park on October 28, 2002. The ban was later reduced to 1 year.

MR. TAMBOURINEMAN does look very hard to beat Paddy.
Last run should have primed him for this race.
SMILING EYES to be ridden by the Gauch meets MR T 1.5kg worse, defeating that horse by a neck last start. Ran a close 3rd in the ALICE SPRINGS CUP over 2000M (in very good time) back in May.
Expect big runs from the two current 3YOs NOT ABANDONED and DELWAY. These two horses fought out the NT Derby (over 2000M) earlier this month.
ABOVE ALL made good ground behind MR T and SE last start and has the same weight. Also ran in the ALICE SPRINGS CUP finishing just behind SE and meets that gelding 1kg on that run.

Cheers Perth Placegetter
Smiling Eyes & Above All were included in my early tips, no reason to sway.
The (soon-to-be) 4YOs do drop a lot of weight on their Derby runs. Notice that Joel Hallam who rode Not Abandoned to win the Derby is sticking with Mr Tambourineman, which certainly is a boost to my confidence. A few interesting visitors from SA as well. Should be a great spectacle.

Lightly raced ex Victorian JUDGE'S CHAMBER going great guns in the north west. Has the services of Stephen Miller.
CAVO DORO & DEPARTURE LOUNGE look to be nice EW chances.

Ah Broome! - 30 degrees and sunny, I wish I was there today Paddy.
Rain front moving into Perth, a few days of rain expected.
Forget CPs run on the weekend, jock went a bit too early and got caught a little wide.
Broome sprint today like Zoloto and Jumallique (not much between them). Bindaree Boy next best.

Ksar,
For Perth, the best judge in aust is Wes Cameron's late mail on Sky. Gives 4 picks. often plenty of value. Have backed $17,15.50 and $23.70 last 4 wkks.
I am on Gold Coast, don't know if he is with any Perth paper etc.
Cheers jaffa
