Well done! You're going very well. Probably because you didn't say "This will win". ;) :D

Nice form L2B,

Unlike me, you have the guts to post your selections and it seems to be rolling along nicely.

I'm gathering the strength to post a few myself, but I must say this forum does post some good punts.

Good Luck

Been out of action for ages but a few weeks ago i caught a glimpse of Willie Command running an extremely good close-up second at Benalla over a mile, and thought to myself it would win it's next start over a bit further. Well it didn't, but still ran a great race over 2000, got back to far in a slowly run race behind Frere Jacques at Ballarat but went to the line strongly to be beaten .5 length. It is engaged at Sandown wednesday over 2100 and i think it looks a good chance. Physique is certainly classy enough but seems to be struggling at the moment, i think Willie has Frere Jacques covered with a bit more speed and the long uphill straight, and Goasgoodas also looks a threat but rises sharply in distance. With in form Callow aboard from barrier 3 i think he's a real chance, Any thoughts on the race?

Can't beleive the price you got emlozza at yesterday, i didn't even know she ran until today but her form last spring was first class and she wasn't racing much, well done.

Without really studying the race as yet, my opinion may change, but going on what you have pointed out above definately looks like a genuine chance. Willie command certainly has had a path for a win, and you may get decent odds for him also. I will wait until wednesday to decide but I will keep him in mind.

Well spotted mr ed hope he wins for ya!!!

On emlozza, I went over for caulfield guineas last year and had a fortune on him (my bet of day) in the thoroughbred stakes, because of how smart he was, he won well. Couldnt believe seeing him pop up in a sunday race at sandown. I will keep track of this horse, he will win a few more yet.

Been Following him for awhile Mr Ed... with some nice results...

has a nice turn of foot at the business end...and settles well ...
i'll wait till i see the field though before i jinx him into last :) ..

He certainly should be some value as there is some good country form going into the race with rural law and also Spirit of Marscay who's form around Great Sandy and Senor De Lago stacks up well for this. Also got a recent Sandown winner in Our Court engaged, all of this with a probable wet track, now i know why i called it quits!

I backed Tahni Girl in that race L2B, she ran third i think the second horse rn a top race, Miss Mooney Mooney or something like that. I backed Emlozza at her next start on Cox Plate day @ $2.50 when she was raped by Tenacious Spirit and nearly fell arse over, she then ran in the Hilton, she is a top filly. I really can't catch her though, I saw her first maiden win at Bendigo i think and was impressed so backed her at $7 in a Mooney Valley night meeting only to run second to the little known filly Ballet Society, so i got off and her next start she walked in at the Valley beating another ordinary filly in Hollow Bullet.

Mr Ed..

Just looked at the that Race with Willie Command..
pretty tough race i think...Willie will like the speed and i'm guessing there will be alot on..Rural law and Our Court will want to lead ..Campaign will want to be there as well..
I've been on campaign and he won very impressivly last start..and if they go hard in front he'll be there just off them and give a good sight,,,
Willie and Spirit Of Marscay will both be there and i wouldnt right off physique and Hong kong Cheri..lol....
to hard for me this race..i've been on Campaign and he was so impressive that i'll stick with him,,but he'll have to be nice eachway odds..
If its wet Spirit of Marscay will be a big show..

Nice trifecta race this one Mr Ed ..but if you like Willie i'd stick with him because he should get the tempo to suit..

Good Luck :)

ps..Check out Statice in the 5th...must of had probs but 2 runs have been very impressive...might be a show at odds..
General Conclusion and Limited Impulse look good aswell..

some good races around for a Wednesday

Cheers mate, will certainly have a look. Do you remember that Tip of the day thread Mav, my first post on it was Opio Miss to win at Bendigo and you liked Scarlet Scene if i recall. Opio Miss looks near on unbeatable tommorow, in every aspect, extremely well in after claim, small field suits no matter what tempo is set, extra distance big plus i think she is a very promising stayer, and form when taking ground off Joy of Flight and Umber classes above tommorows very average field. I will take anything @ even money or over, but think i could be struggling to get it. Her good win at Bendigo was also on dead ground so another plus, she really looks to have these covered, thoughts?

P.S It was Truly Wicked who raped Emlozza not Tenacious Spirit who was falsely accused and has been aquited of all charges.

Cheers ED

Wednesday is here and its a good solid raceday.
My selections for today are as follows.

Sydney race 3 no 3
IM NO SQUARE.
his run against sir ernesto was quite solid and should appreciate the extra trip here. Nothing wrong with the stable or jockey either.

Sydney race 5 no 1
FREEDOM REIGNS
Been placed in all six of his starts. Both races this campaign have been good racing in same class today. Dont think rise in wieght will be a factor. Hes a smart horse.

Strathalbyn race 6 no 3
SPIRITED AND SEXY
His last run at murray bridge was exeptional I thought, from barrier 15, and hes drawn much better today. Rise is distance should suit well, and with the 2kg claim from promising apprentice baker should run on well.

Good luck to all having a crack today!

Mr ed
1st June 2005, 04:07 PM
Nice one L2B,

I got greedy and took $1.85 for Opio Miss much to my dismay. Hinton should never ride again, he simply can't get horses going he lacks everything skill, vigure, technique, he wouldn't have swatted a fly with his whips that take forever to wind up with his long arms. Anyone who gets tapes have a look at him trying to ride her out as opposed to say Baster on Hurricance Gust from the same stable or even Nick Ryan on the winner, the 3kg doesn't mean much if your not urging the horse on. I'm sure this made all the difference as she had plenty left to give.

Oh well hopefully Willie comes through with the good jock on!

Well Done Mr Ed hope you got on...bit short for me and even Campaign was shorter than i expected..it showed on the tote what a hard race it was with most runners backed....but not hard for you Mr Ed hope you got better than the tote ..

Had 4 2nds today :( Jeteye, Tellem , General Conclusion and Limited Impulse...i sure know how to stop them..

Statice was unbeleivably short...i was expecting 20,s or something..must have some ability and will keep an eye on him..

Yep i remember that thread..g...Scarlet scene was to hard to catch for me ...as soon as i jumped off she won ..

one of those days ..

Cheers mate, yeh i got top flux but don't know what it was. I was going to have $500 Opio Miss - Willie all up, i wanted to get that really good win, you all know the one, so i went there in the morning, when she went down my confidence was shattered and i only had 200 on him with a bookie and then left, still a great run and result, but what could've and should've been, if not for that cretin Ryan Hinton, even the strapper had a dip at him after the race, he said "Think you need a bit more time in the country mate". It was pretty funny i was thinking to myself 'country jockey' I think he mispoke by adding an 'ry'. Bad luck Mav, it wasn't an easy dea for anyone at Sandown really.

Another one to follow who will win if not his next start, very soon, is Tearinupthecounty racing in Queensland, stable has massive opinion and his first up run was extremely unlucky but good, he came down here for a spell and was backed off the map but again unlucky.

Might as well add the others in my blackbook here, Soveriegn Fire (vic provs), Miss Starnee (riverina provs), and Sunboy (Melbourne or Adelaide) metro, Opio Miss (Melbourne or Adelaide). These are the only five horses i'll bet on until i see another, HUGE RUN.

Cheers Guys might go quiet till on of these comes up.

Yes twas truly wicked, not my namesake who raped emlozza, TS is a top mare, waiting for her return.

I couldn;t believe the price for emlozza, i hadn;t seen this thread but i was on as soon as i saw those 8's, she was (and is) classes above esp with a bit of sting out of the ground.

P.S. Mr Ed i remember you saying you were leaving the game due to university. I too am at university, just wondering out of curiosity which one you attend?

Cheers.

Mr ed

La Trobe - Bundoora i'm doing comm/eco, yourslef?

Tenacious Spirit is certainly a good mare, i first remember her for her win Thousand Guineas day, one of 5 for Ollie. She cost me last prep though when she beat the unbeatable Amtrak at Flemington, she then ran a mighty 4th in the Dubai Duty Free behind Regal Roller, OER, Alinghi not a bad little trifecta of horses to be beaten by, do you know anything about her return?

L2B- Glad you had a dip mate, thought we might get 7 or 8 but hey how can we complain. He gave us a heart flutter when Spirit of Marscay went straight past but he always looked like he had plenty left and a good run through by Callow, who is clearly one of our best.

Hoorah, that was a great win by an emerging horse. He had a big weight, in a big field, on a slow track and gave the leaders a decent break with 200 to go, he is worth following again.

Great win by Vittesse Dane L2B, your consistently finding a winner, well done.

was a great win Mr Ed..the bookies on course were gambling with him and he had the weight of just about everyones cash at the track on him...saved me from a frustrating run of placings...Clanger and Rear Amiral..
also had Pegunny Dream for 2nd..

Could have been a great day if Miss Starnee got up at Donald she was nice odds @ $6 but had to settle for second behind Sauvette, still an each way collect, but do i bet E/W?

Really looking forward to Sovereign Fire's next run, whenever that might be, as a C1 her run when taking on C2's last start was very encouraging when got shuffled right back to last on the turn but picked herself up and got home well for 4th. Anyone else see the run? We will be able to check the form from the race with Cabaret Lady (another big run) racing in a couple of days.

Having a small(ish) e/w go at Geelong Rc4 No.8 tommorow in At Peace. He is a maiden taking on a C1 showcase race tommorow but i think he will be good value. His last run was very encouraging when slowly away, was last all the way but got home strongly through the field to finish 3rd only beaten about 1.5 lengths. If he wins that race (which he well could have) he is no longer up in grade and gets in with probably 2kg more. He jumps from 1800 to 2200 tommorow but it really looks like it will suit, it does look a hard race with a few semi decent nags going around but i think this horse only .5kg over the minimum will be finishing as strongly as anything. I'll only bet if double figures.

Mr. Ed, sorry for the long time between replies. I am at Melbourne studdying Commerce/media.

Just goes to show one persons misfortune is another ones fortune, i got 22's that day tenacious beat amtrak. Also shows how following a horse can pay off, rathe than considering just the form of the current race. Ie. if you lined up the form of amtrak and ts as you and most others probably did, amtrak would be the clear selection. It just so happened that i had been following the mare through the mid-weekers and continued to follow when she got to saturday grade.

The fnny thing was that the first time i backed her midweek she won and payed like 8's then she won again and still payed good each way odds. I then went to back her a third time and she was still e/w odds - obviously slipped under the radar of many.

I don't know about her return i have been asking around but knowone seems to have an idea. I am guessing she will probably be set for the spring. But she has had close to a year off scene.

Good to see there are some other young punters around.

Cheers,

I think At Peace should probably Rest In, nah he will win a race at odds soon (i promise).

Funnily enough, Tenacious Spirit is entered on Monday at the valley in what looks a top notch sprint race.

What price we get Electic for tomorrow? I got the tip b4 it won first up and has absolutely shit in both starts since spell, grows a leg in the wet and the rain i saw on the footy tonight should suit it perfectly, unless the races are called off. Might get even money + because the only danger; Attractions, was racing in top company last time in around Moet Magic, Dr John, Stormy Nova all very good horses. He is untried in the heavy however and has run good races but never won first up. Can't have enough on Electic if the odds are right, in an otherwise un-eventful day for me.

Just looking at the fields it looks a busy week for me, with a lot of my stable running in what look to all be suitable targets.

I've seen, before weights barriers etc.

Miss Starnee @ Cheltenham Saturday - Just went down and cost me plenty last time but is in rare form and will be a nice chance.

Willie Command @ Sandown Saturday - Great win @ track distance last time, meets some better horses but looks sure to be in the finish.

Tearinupthecountry @ Ipswich Satruday - Up in class but is a restricted race and he should get a nice weight drop, last win was grand and could go right on with it now.

Sovereign Fire @ Albury Saturday - Weak field, big run last time, just wins for mine.

Perhaps we should retitle this thread Hot Chips, but i just want to remember all these.

Tommorow i will be having a good crack @ El Man Goss, have followed him since his first start (4 length win this T,D), and he looks one out of the box. Jumped straight from a C3 to a C6 metro @ the Valley when last in work and came from seemingly immposible position when bursting through the field to claim track specialist Beach Box on the line. He then went to the Flem Straight and flew down the outside rail to be just beaten by the smart Twisted Times. His next start really hurt me when sent out short priced favorite @ Geelong, had a nice run but didn't show his usual ping in the straight, when making his run on the inside and was beaten a long nk by Air Cooled, who is no walker. He's a winner of 3 from 3 whilst fresh and is a heavy track winner. Tommorows field isn't weak and he will get back, which should ensure a decent quote of say $4-5, however he has a bugger of a sprint and i really think this fellow will go onto bigger and better things and will clean this field up on the way.

Will let Opio Miss go around without me tommorow, she should have won last time, but that was a weak race, much harder here taking on the boys (El Zahia in particular). She's drawn out, also going back in distance onto a track with a shorter straight. Will not be surprised if she runs well (without Hinton on) but not worth the risk in my book.

Anyone with thoughts on tommorows races please share them, I; like you Mav, really enjoy discussing tips rather then just listing them.

Cheers ED

One that I will be backing tomorow will be Prior Viscount. It won a maiden plate on the 4th june in a very impressive manner. He was drawn the widest runner, got caught a little wide early making his way across the field. The thing that impressed me was the turn of foot 300 out, making pretty easy work of it hitting the line strongly. With only 3 starts under his belt and racing from a great stable, I think he will win a few more yet.
Canterbury Race 6 no 8.

werribee race 4 No 1 Moggs.
I've been following this horse through the grades and was impresses with him last start..Not sure what price we'll get but there'll be speed on which will suit him and he looks good in this..theres a couple of promising types in this so am hoping for some value but with Shinn aboard and a good barrier ..will be hoping i think..
A horse in this that has shown some ability ..Tall Trees... ...he was trained by Corstens but is now trained by a david Cave of whom i know nothing about, ... his last run he showed he might be on the way back and maybe the new trainer has found the secret to him..he might be grab a place at huge odds in this....might add value to the tris.
Werribee race 5
Our Court...this horse made up huge ground last start behind Willie Comand and has been in good form..2 starts ago was only just behind delvechio..
he'll have to get back and the tracks a worry for him.. but there will be speed on ..
Campaign is a horse i've been on so i'll be sticking with him..he didnt get the lead last start but still boxed on nicely..this race he'll lead for sure and if he dictates and if sneaks away on the turn..he'll win this..Hong Kong Beri confirmed his form by winning his next start..
I'll be backing both these horses if i get the right odds..
i'm willing to risk El Zahia ,,he hasnt beaten anything yet..and hopefully they'll be all over him so i'l get a better price about Our Court and Campaign.

A horse that needs our Forum support is Lair ,,Gawler race 8 no 3..
this horse i think beat Starcraft yonks ago and i saw him at eagle farm run a huge race as well,,running favourite i think.....he moved down to SA and got some sort of virus ...but he looks over that now,,races well fresh and is 0 for 20 ...
i sort of feel sorry for him and hope he wins...wont have my cash on him but i will be cheering him home.

Leica Lite ..is another booker,,Canterbury R4..it'll be tough to beat the toppy with the claim..but this filly ran a huge race last start and has had a freshen which will suit her over the shorter trip..has a crappy barrier which is the only concern she'll coming late though......might be at nice odds ..

these are the only races i'm looking at tomorrow,,,,taking it easy for awhile..

good luck all :)

Hope you guys got on :)

Our Court with wet track form and a good jockey and also some good performances of late was huge value....i must admit i was expecting about 6's ....
Campaign cant run on the wet but scared me alittle when he got the lead so easily and was just cantering along..
But a great ride by Gauci stole it...the fav ran well and impressed me alot....will keep an eye on this horse.

Had a big go at Moggs...the odds were just to good to refuse...havent seen the race yet but heard it and it sounded like he took off from the back fairly early ,,,something you have to do there at Werribee and tired but still ran into 3rd...
when he gets on a track that suits and maybe over alittle more ground he'll be right in it..

Also Leica Lite ran away with my money...but i wasnt to dissapointed...had a bad barrier and did alot of work,,sometimes 4 wide....havent dropped off it just yet..

I've have a litte token $10 e/w on Lair in the last at Adelaide...poor thing needs alot of help but i'm doing my best to get it over the line..

Well done Mr ed on El Man Goss...just got there ...was a huge effort and yes your right he looks above average ....

also have a bet on Kennedy to win the MOM tonight...i am a Queenslander but he's been in such fine form ..he looks good value at 11's..
Go the Queenslanders.. :)

I actually did ratings similar to my horse system for the SOO ...Kennedy was my highest rating Cocker roach..

Berrigan rated highly for the Queenslanders....might put the $30 from lair on Berrigan for the first try scorer..

Well done with Our Court Mav, great ride by the Gouch, Campaign was nearly sniffing the grass they were going so easily. Race really didn't suit horses like El Zahia and Opio Miss both ran very well.

El Man Goss was a great win, especially after looking at his condition, he was pretty fat and I think that's why he eased (got $4 with Winbet). I really think he has a big handicap race in him, the straight track suits him perfectly so maybe a race like the Standish (or one similar). He is not a big horse and i think he will derive great benefit from the run. I hope i'm not getting the tag of favorite backer on here, i promise i don't look at prices or tipsters before making my selections, i actually get pretty dirty when everyone picks them, like today.

Moggs was a nice run Mav, just got to far back but finished strongly, he looks close to a win in this class, a track like Sandown or Flemington (already a winner) would suit him amiccably.

I have Maewest in the book and she's racing in about 40 mins,,,but i never recieved the notice,, sms or email....i think the race is alittle hard for her but she's good fresh with no weight and worth atleast alittle e/w...

Same horses, racing on the same tracks, Perth should be the only place we bet.

Bad luck with Prior Viscount L2B, he might have just been a little flat after a hard debut run. How good is Beadman going, he gets the good horses but he can certainly turn a good thing into a certainty.

I won't be able to get on Sovereign saturday, anyone know how i could? other then driving 4 hours.

I have Maewest in the book and she's racing in about 40 mins,,,but i never recieved the notice,, sms or email....i think the race is alittle hard for her but she's good fresh with no weight and worth atleast alittle e/w...
i noticed in the book that i had Sweet n tidy but had spelled it sweet and tidy,,,duh...nice winner to..oh well. :)

Yes, you have to spell it 100% correctly. Are you sure you did that with Maewest?

As well as simply receiving the emails, I also login to the Racenet Blackbook website each day and they have all of my blackbook horses listed there that are running that day and the next 1 or 2 days as well.

Of course, this is all of little use if you then stupidly decide to ignore one of your blackbook horses and it wins at $71!!!

Same horses, racing on the same tracks, Perth should be the only place we bet.

..... and Paul Harvey. Another 3 winners yesterday from 5 rides including yet another last race winner.

I notice Maewest ran 3rd Mav. You might get a win out of that one shortly.

Thats how i knew She was running Sportz..i logged on to add a horse and then noticed her..but she wasnt listed in the email..weird..

Nice little return ..i liked the way she fought on down the straight against the fav who was always way to good in this..pay to follow her and Grand Merlot who the other day was just beaten first up..he'll apreciatte a bit more distance and looks above average..

Nice win today on Piculet..i've been following this horse from about her 2nd start..when she was just off Johans Toy and then raced in a group1 against lotteria...she's been up and down in grade but today was racing in Class1 after last start flying home in a class 3...
i wasnt the only one on her as she firmed from about 10's to 7's just before jump but she won very well....i was however 1 of the very select few that got the tri...only 1/2 but ..wow :) ..i just love the tris ..

Had a big go at Salsa today who i thought was excellent value and flew home for 2nd...had a good run last time..but still thought she hit the line strong...will stay with this one..
also had an e/w with Rosilie Miss in Townsville ..a horse both Sportz and i have had some success with,,,,she doesnt seem the same horse of late but i thought she was improving as her last run was good...maybe the track although good was alittle shifty..and she hates that..

The bookers have been on quite a roll this week,,, after having a shocker on Saturday..
beers are on me :)

ps...still wondering why Harvey didnt come up to ride Irish Darling ...purton rode her very poorly..

black book runner 2morow at sandown. Race 8 umbula. I feel as a front runner it will be much better suited to win at sandown, Last week at flemington there were always going to be the swoopers but things ccould be different this week. In a race with plenty of dangers, (mr eds willie command) as well as reef beach, ill be hoping umbula can lead all the way.
Ill post a couple of others in the morning.
Anyones thoughts are always welcome.

Was lazy this weekend, with form so just the main one for me.

Sandown Rc8 No 6 Willie Command - Hot race but will be right there if the track drys out a bit and childs gets him in a forward position, will be having a tri with Umbula, Universal, Reef Beach i think these four have the rest covered.

Chelt Rc 8 No 10 Miss Starnee - In top form but up in class here, will be good double figures and i have to have a bit e/w.

Toowoomba Rc 5 No.1 Tearinupthecountry - Will be no flash odds but looks the winner in this now reasonably small field, fairweather was a good mare down here (don't know what happened) i remember a six length whacking at Werribee then a few town placings, but can't have her on present form. Copper Penny was a much improved run last start and looks the main (only) threat. Will have a big go if even money or more.

You beauty Ed. Well done with Miss Starnee. Thanks for the tip. :)

Mr ed
18th June 2005, 05:12 PM
Thanks mate, was a bit flat after Willie ripped and pulled the whole way, then Miss Starnee came out 4 lengths last, got a lovely run through and was a top effort. Not quite the odds i thought but still a great result.

Nice win there Mr Ed...
I've never seen willie run like that...and i've followed him for awhile...pay to forgive him that run..
Hope you have a win on Tearinup Mr ed..he did win well at the sunny coast..
.i must admit i'm a Red Pill fan,.. but ive used up enough luck today..

One i forgot to mention is Miss Copycat in the last at Belmont...she's a recent addition to my little WA stable and looks good in this....have her anchoring my treble if Bold ransom gets up..

maverick1993
18th June 2005, 08:27 PM
Red Pill got the brakes in the straight...a good run by Tearinupthecountry and will follow him through the grades..

Have a few bookers running tomorrow..

Tycoon Rose SC7 No 7....this horse always saves her best for the Sunny coast loves the sting out and has got a good barrier...
sticks n stones won well here last start but has the weight..
Little Punc loves the mud and if it gets to that condition then hes a big chance..
But i like Tycoon Rose ..she owes me..

Statice Warn10 No4 ..this horse has been very lightly raced..but has ability..last start in a hard race was backed into about 7's when i thought he'd be 25's...seems theres a good tip around about him so i doubt he'll be any value...but i wont be taking anything to short..

Brackenette Pm6 No15...good couple of runs this time in and in a very open race has a good a chance as any..should be nice e/w value..

Encosta Rocket SC6 No5 ..i liked the way she hit the line last start...had a bit of condition that day so will improve from the run...nothing much in the race except for the toppy....good e/w

Paris Flyer Pm6 No13..
Is in good form and has a show in this...also like Christie Lee so will back both..

Captain Spalding Warn8 No 3 ...racing very well should win this
Irish Loup Winter Cup Tamworth...can run time and is in good form..

looks like maybe 8 bets for tomorrow..fingers crossed..will see if the racing gods are still smiling down on me ...

Good luck all :)

Yeh looked a real chance at the 400 but just died, his problem now is weights, ended up a great place divvy @ $1.70 in an 8 horse field when i thought even money to win but never had a cent on it. Thanks for putting the mozz on with Red Pill to mate, you've backed every winner today CAN I PLEASE JUST HAVE ONE! Nah as i said was fairly lazy with form and simply backed it because of a good last run. Toowoomba probably not his track either. Still in black figures (just) for the day so am perfectly happy, good luck tommorow Mav hope you kill'em again. Finish Uni on Thursday and have a supply of all the victorian races tapes from the last six weeks or so, so might get right into it for a month or two and see how i go. Look forward to conversing with you all when i'm a bit more knowledgable on my races.

Mr ed
19th June 2005, 01:22 PM
Had a big go a couple of weeks ago on a horse i have plenty of time for in Mazunda at Sandown, he had been very, very impressive in two country wins and the race looked made to order. He was absolutely donkey licked by Secret Recording who relished the conditions.

I in turn backed Secret Recording at big odds and was less then a length away from top horses like Dismissal and Valedictum. Today he meets a field full of country class, resuming stayers, or past there prime geriatrics and looks far to classy now i know the track is heavy. Drops back from 1300 to 1100 but is a multiple winner at the distance and the bog track always suits horses looking for further. Should be good speed in the race from the likes of Hunter Hermitage and Bella Jinsky and he should park just of them peel out at the 500 and say see ya later.

$3 looks a fair price in my book. As you can see i like my favorites, but finding the true favorites is half the battle i certainly think this deserves the honor.

Cheers ED

Gday mr ed,
Over the last month Ive been testing a system with some very encouraging reults. Ill give it a few more weeks of fine tuning then put my cock on the block and post them here, point of this post was I only have one qualifier for today and it was great reassurance when I seen your post, lets just hope the nag wins!!

Mr ed
19th June 2005, 03:52 PM
Ouch,

Speaks volumes for the weakness of that race, SR was flat as a tack around the turn but still clung on to second. He just showed none of his customary acceleration whatsoever, track certainly looks to be favouring outside draws. It's a hard game isn't it L2B?

19th June 2005, 04:46 PM
It sure is Mr Ed, but although it lost with my staking plan on a 1-4 ratio I still came out with a win. At least no damage done and tomorow is another day. Looks like a quiet week for me as far as blackbookers but should have a few system runners, try and post them if I have a chance.
Well done to you mav, great display of gambling you have shown lately, hope it continues for ya!!

thanks Luv2bet....quiet day today though..
bets on Christie Lee, Captain Spalding, Irish Loup and Statice all for return of zilcho..
was at the sales today trying to breed my own winner..and missed the races but will have a look tonight..
fairly lazy with the study of these races and it looks like i got punished for it..
dissapointing about the Sunny Coast ..was very keen on Tycoon Rose ...but she'll keep though ..
A losing day today so time to take stock i think...getting alittle carried away of late..

Mr ed
19th June 2005, 09:49 PM
Lovely run by Statice Mav, much bigger odds then i expected.

Tommorow sees the long awaited return of Sovereign Fire, have been waiting a while for this one and hopefully is worth the wait. Was a great Benalla run last time when got shuffled right back. Is entered in the 5th at Narrandera and this weak C2 looks a most suitable assignment. Can't get any real guide on the field as i have no videos but it looks limited to say the least. She will be well suited by the longer trip and be very strong at the end. She shows her best this way of going and will be ready to produce third up from a spell. Although stabbing in the dark as far as dangers go, i will be having a good crack at her whatever price she is.

Ive got a couple of system runners today at horsham.
Horsham race 5 no 1. OUR PALACE.
should be nice e/w odds here. Its had a good record first up winning first up last campaign at 1300. Although 1400 off a spell is a bit of a worry, having been placed over 1400 at all 3 attempts I think is worth a shot. The obvioous danger here being the no 2. Easier race here may be hard to beat.

Horsham race 6 no 6. ZEPHYR BEAT.
Im pretty keen on this one. hopefully hes not to short but probably deserves to be. His last couple of runs have been sound just missing out both times. His run before that was a third behind queensland derby runner up lords a leaping. Going on that form he has to be in the finish.( I hope).

Good luck to all.

system runner.
seymore 3 no 1. MISTANZ.
First up from a spell with solid first up form, 1100 should suit, handle conditions ok and should go well fresh.

BLACKBOOK
cessnock 9 no 3. molecular.

Tuscanny boy, San Vitale, PushPig, Not that Innocent, Penola, Shelly's trick, Mary Peirce, Quinn, Cafe Francis.

Not a great day yet today..
Had bets on Tuscanny Boy (2nd) and Quin (unp)..havent seen the video yet but will check it out later..
a few of my other bookers have placed ,,San vitale (2nd), Not that innocent (3rd), Penola (4th) Mary Peirce (2nd)
so they'll keep for another day...heard Mary peirces run was huge ..
Having a go at Push Pig soon..has some good form around Spuruson and Micasa ..hoping to get 8's..
fingers crossed :)
some good races around today..think Lion Queen is suited in the 7th at doomben and Lord Erin in the 7th at Melbourne..might just have a token bet on these for interest sake ..

maverick1993
22nd June 2005, 03:44 PM
One of those today ..will leave Lion Queen alone just no value,,
Lord erin is ok at 6's..

Grand Merlot is racing in Northam tomorrow...great run last start 1st up over 1400m...will like the 1600m here ..but theres a tip about and wont be any flash odds....but a winner is a winner,,very very confident with this horse..

also Express Messenger up in Nth Qld is also racing...if he draws a barrier is right in this,,,very honest horse ...

Won't be on till late tomorrow...
getting the video warmed up for Saturday's races... some good races in Brissie... :)

couple of bets thursday.
I like grand merlot as well mav, race should suit. my other bet for the day will be geelong race 7 no 6 REGAL RAPT. Hit the line strongly last start should thrive on the added journey, hopefully get 4-5s for him.
On todays racing I have to mention a horse Ive followed in belmont for a while, our grey halo. This horse is going great guns, he just runs home so hard and his consistency over his last 5 runs has been amazing. A bit shorter in price today but $3 was great value.
Hopefully we find a winner tomorrow!

maverick1993

well done with Regal Rapt Luv2bet,,

Express Messenger just scraped home (phew) ..
was dissapointed listening to the race with Grand Merlot...he sounded like he was alot more forward than usual and started his run very early...will check out the video but it doesnt sound like he was ridden that well considering there was a good tempo set..

oh well nice odds about Express Messenger who i thought would be around 2.50..
made up for a crap day Wednsday..
weird day Wed..had a look at the video and was happy with all the bookers..who all ran very well..a day where with a bit of luck they might of all saluted....
Lord erin's run was weird aswell...not sure why the jock took off so early..not Lord erins usual style..maybe the connections are just fed up with him running good 3rds and 4ths and wanted him atleast in the firing line..

Delta Devil is running around in Adelaide tomorrow....is in good form ..just untried at this distance...has been finishing off his races and it could be what he needs..owes me for 2 starts now so i'll give him one more chance..

Moorings Strategy at Bathurst....this horse is in good form in the maidens..saluted last time over this distance..looks right in this race ..

looking for some value in these 2 runners ..otherwise save alittle extra for Saturday ..
good luck :)

Been sniiffin out a win lately, looks the goods 2morow. I like seagura in gold coast. Hopefully its not to short its run last start was impressive can go on with it here. One in the gold coast tomorow that may be worth a look at e/w odds. Race 7 suubird. Bit dissapointing last couple of runs but take on merit from the run before that. Been all over the place as far as distance goes and looks suited to the 1200 now. May need some luck drawing a barrier in the carpark but I will not be suprised to see him in the finish.
Good luck to all.

maverick1993
4th July 2005, 11:18 PM
Hey Luv2bet..

I tipped Suubird the other day in eagle farm but jumped off at the odds of 5.50....thought a bit of a risk at 1200m ..and still do.
maybe against these horses though..hmmmm
intersted in Princess Margret..won well last start and is moving through the grades nicely..
Star Boulavard is racing tomorrow..this horse got me out of trouble the other day and is in good form..has a show in this race..
Parameter is another stable horse thats running ..i like him but think Danefull will get the lead in front of him..and usually if he doesnt lead he doesnt win..
he won well here last start against a better field and maizy may was pressuring him..should be a nice tempo set that will set it up for Latin Lover..might have something on him and parameter..just depends on the odds...good trifecta and 1st 4 race..

Raffin Glow looks good tomorrow...and check out Blue Ribbons. this horse interests me,,has had a weird prep in the past which means shes has her fair share of probs..must have ability or Mick wouldnt be persisting with her...
was close up to show barry and bojack around this time last year..
should be huge odds and worth maybe a e/w for interests sake..

Gud Luck guys... and good luck Luv2..if suubirds going to win over this distance you'd think it would be against this field..the toppy has a huge weight the rest are average and you have just 1 improving type..
had some good judges on it at Ef..so cant be hopeless..

maverick1993
5th July 2005, 05:00 PM
Crappy day today had a go at Star Boulevard and Latin Lover....
wondering why latin Lover was 5th on the inside one second and then last the next ??
to wet for Raffin Glow and why the hell Blue Ribbons was almost fav confuses the heck out of me..thought she'd be 20's..will be one of those horses that'll never win but will always be short for reasons nobody knows..

Great win by Princess Margret..this horse has ability..the way she spaced them was impressive..probably lucky Suubird was scratched Luv2 ..
the 2,80 was to short for me ..but with all the scratchings was a probably the right odds..

maverick1993
5th July 2005, 09:15 PM
I see Suubird is racing tomorrow Luv2 ...harder race over even longer..the trainer must think she can do it though..she's fit enough..should be nice e/w odds but who knows ?? last time i tipped her she ran favourite when i thought she'd be 15's..

have a few bookers running tomorrow..
Nuts about Jugah *, Delta Devil , Mystikos , Rogan's Gem , General Conclusion ,

Startled Hunter is racing tomorrow in a tuff 2yo race..impressed me though last start ..and might be a nice e/w

Encosta Rocket is another booker who ran a nice place for me last start but in this race Mr Hornblower looks to good for him...
but it would be nice to see the girls win it....

Shanteruse was scratched on Saturday ..probably the track ..if its dry i thought she had a chance ..

Good Luck Guys.. :) some nice races around ..

Yeah some nice races around 2morow , Im not too sure about suubird, Ive been on the toppy not a blunder its last 2 starts and will be hard to bet against it, its got a big finish in it that horse could be hard to beat. Mav, I noticed ja rule didnt get a mention in your bookers, has it been dropped or missed, just curious. I like eastwest success at randwick, had a nice run last time behind for valour and loves this track not sure about the odds though. Another I like but may be short is lesvos lady in strath. Right in the finish last time in the city behind written habit, this looks a little easier good barrier good jockey should go alright. Havent had a real good look through the fields yet but looks like a good dayy for a bet.

I forgot about Jarule ..always seem to forget about Wa .. he has a good chance on a dry track the 2 above him look the dangers...noble Park ran good time on the slow last start ..if its wet might be worth following him..

good luck ..and well done backing Princess Margret,,i didnt have enough balls to take the odds on offer but i'm glad someone was on her..

confident about Nuts about Jugah :)

6th July 2005, 01:23 AM
Very good run last time Mav, looks a top hope. Can't underestimate the class of Dea and Trattoria is a good mare when right.

Opio Miss will start from the outside barrier and go back tommorow, usually a recipe for disaster, but this horse has not been given a chance to show how good she is this prep through poor riding. Last start was a farce with young benbow getting lost she was 5 and 6 wide the last 600 - 800 but still ran on gamely. There will be better speed here from mainly Ski for Kings who with the claim looks tough to beat. Spirit of Marscay has run seconds to Great Sandy, Senor De Lago, and Willie Command recently and would have to start close to favorite. Some good runs from others in the field but don't really rate them. Have no doubt Opio holds a class edge and is the 'best' horse, it will be good to see what she can do when saved for one last crack at them at this more suitable venue.

Having a shocker today...0 from 3 ..
Rogams Gem tried hard..
Mystikos....thought i had it there,,would of been a real nice result.
Delta Devil...did nothing..ran wide but is relegated to the scrap heap now..

General ran well..bit short i thought but proved he's up to it,,
A friend has tipped me Shellshocked in the last today...i'm not totaly convinced but this guy is a good judge..he has inside ?? knowledge apparently...so i'll have to have something on it..who knows might make it out ahead today yet..

having a fun bet tonight ,,nutley mom at 51/1 and nsw by 13 at about the same..
also Lockyer first tryscorer at 17's ..he's won this for me before..

Good luck Mr Ed on Opio Miss..the run on horses are right in it today ..

the 3 i gave chances in that race came 4th 5th and 6th ..lol one of those days..
I reckon Qld are certanties tonight..jump on..

and just incase i get toooo pissed tonight..the 3 nominated losers for tomorrow are
Grand Merlot , Rebelete and Solomons seal...but beware the weekday run of outs continue....the best thing i've done lately is scale down my midweek betting ..keep chipping away like this though and i'll have nothing left to bet with come Saturdays...

its seems my betting account has a withdraw only option...

Dirty on myself in the first at Sydney...i backed Blue Lyric last start at 50's and was a nice place result..today i thought Yareven was to good especially the way he went right past him last start even though the distance suited Blue Lyric more today..so i just forgot about the race and concentrated on the others where in actual fact Yareven rated so highly and was probably the best bet of the day...and he won like it to..
frustrating..

6th July 2005, 05:20 PM
Bad luck Mav. Thought the General did a great job, weight just told in the end.

Opio ran her usual unlucky fast finishing race and is starting to get expensive, don't know if she would've won but she would've been right there today with a better run. That's what you get for betting on flashy finishers instead of one paced tough horses like Ski for Kings.

A win today !! wooohoo :)

Solomons Seal saluted..broke the dreaded run of outs..
Grand Merlot ..dissapointing again..is better than these last 2 runs..will wait till he hits 2000m on a good track,,
Rebelete was never going to be good enough in this race a win though targeting Sir Dan, Umatrick and alitle on rebelete just incase..

still experimenting with this Target beting ..have used it with great affect in races where i think theres 2 or 3 standouts..especially in the bigger races where theres value...

Rose of Kwilla is a booker running tomorrow..got smashed against the rail last start and should of won..is better over alittle more ground but against this lot has a big show..the barrier is the only concern she gets back anyway so it shouldnt worry her to much...

King Of Illawara (dry) and Cellay are in the book as well..

Go Lair :)

The Merlot Now fan club is having token bets on the Nows at Murray Bridge tomorrow ..we've been on a roll lately and we'll need all the luck we can get.

What are you doing exactly???

Today i like:

Murray Bridge 3-2 Some Kinda Storm.... The ONLY horse in the race who has shown any glimpse of good form, quite a good 3rd last start. Should beat this bunch

Seymour 2-11 Radiant Charm.... Returns here after a few good placings. Consistent type for a maiden. Lovanip the danger

I've been looking at Connoly's plan Mav, and have tested it using my Read bets over the last twelve months, including the favorite or second favorite if my selection was favorite. It's showing a 2 % POT over 300 races (not enough i know) this figure is conservative however as i was working only off Unitab prices and even using Superprice this could be considerably higher, not to mention clauses for odds on favorites, or my judgement in the second horse selection. Looks a good safe way of intermingling form study, punting thrill, and hopefully making a quid.

King of Ilawarra won like pharlap today...i only had 1 unit on for the win as i was worried about him handling the track.. how stupid was i..would of been nicely cashed up for tomorrow..
Cellay nearly got there but still a nice collect on the place..

and poor old Lair ...didn't mind the way he eventually finished off..looking like a mile and a half or more will suit..

The nows didn't win for the Tipping Club..but we jumped on the 8.50 about Consular tomorrow...fingers crossed :)

Sportz...with the target betting ..i'm just targeting a specific amount to win...
yesterday approx 1000 units...Sir dan 400 , Umitrick 400 .rebellete 100 ..
for 900 invested ..ateast a 2000 return and some change..
i did this with that Vitese Dane win..also had cinque centro and irish darling..
also that Admiral spy race ..his first win..when i had him and 2 others..

i do this when i have 2 or 3 standouts that i cant seperate..i had sir Dan and Umitrick evenly rated ..way above the nearest which was Rebelette...and they both started at 5's and 6's....the same with Viteses danes race ..she when they were all 7's or higher..

i might have a go at it again tomorrow..still doing the form..

Been busy of late dont mind a few tomorrow.
Ipswich race 4 No 6 AZZASON.
Forgive last start had everything go wrong, has a great winning strike rate and could go close in this field. In a pretty open race there might be some value.

Ballerat race 7 no 1 DONDOBINE.
I think this horse has a class edge over others here. He has beaten better horses home than the ones hes up against here. Bust up won today and didnt run a place to him a few starts ago, should be in the finish. Danger here would be regal rapt, had a big win on him recently with a huge run.

A couple I also will look at will be grafton 3 Lawlini, like the way it has been going, tougher here but should be nice odds, and ballarat 9 pumkin jack, winning form is good form, conditions shouldnt be a problem, like his chances but normally dont like 400m either side of last run.

Hope we find a winner.

Bad luck with Dunbodine L2B, weight just told, i trust you still made a profit with your staking plan.

One i really liked the last run of tommorow is In Hot Pursuit Morn Rc 2 No.3. I've been having a great time with these distance maidens and his run when 9 lengths behind Filly of Choice was plenty good enough for this. Dun Mears ran second in that race and has trumped the form with a huge win on sunday when three and four wide in a showcase maiden. Jygah looks an obvious danger, with a good fifth in a hot form race behind Penhale, but hasn't run in a long time now and has been scratched from a couple of heavy tracks recently so am happy to risk. The rest of the field is very weak. In Hot Pursuit looks a special on it's last run, only downer is his exposed second up form.

Had an average day yesterday see if we can make amends,
Rockhampton race 6 no 1 STARTACUS.
Hes been racing superbly of late in a lower class but I believe he can go on with it here. Loves this distance, drawn a good barrier, and with the weight he carried last time for a win couldnt of been easy, you dont see to many horses winning carrying 63kg. 4.5 kg lighter today. Danger here would be bro, was only a few lengths behind princess margarat last time and we all know that horse is capable of.
Good luck with In hot pursuit Ed, might have a go myself..

Not a bad result there Mr Ed, never really going to win but still picked up a decent collect all the same. Lets hope Strartacus gets up. Just noticed one in race 3 mornington turtons track. Its paying $90 for the win, might have a little go on him. Probably at this price for good reason but times it has been running dont justify those odds.
Look forward to 2morow.

Just as a bit of interest and to keep track of how these tips are going Im going to start with a $500 bank and keep a running tally of selections using unitab prices. Lets see what we can turn this into. (hopefully not zero)

TODAYS BETS.
Sandown Race 3 no 4. PRAIRIE ROSE. $10w $40p
Form has been rock solid, aliandra the only danger here looks to have the others covered. $8 in the paper but I dont think we will get those odds somehow.

Grafton race 4 no 2. ONE POUND SIX. $10w $40p
Extra trip here shouldnt be a problem, had a bit left in the tank its last start over 1400 so should be running on. Pretty ordinary bunch running around here, stands as a clear top pick.

Good luck all.

If anyone else wants to set themselves up for a big cropper like myself, feel free to have a go.

I'll try the same thing, but varying the bet size

So the selections for today are:

Sandown 7-1 Le Bucheron - $10 Win, $30 Place

Sandown 4-2 Nedrullah - $10 Win , $20 Place

Sandown 5-1 Pugnacious - $10 Win, $20 Place

Grafton 8-7 That's My Mum - $10 Win, $30 Place

Sunshine Coast 4-6 Drop Of Hennessey - $10 Win, $30 Place

Check out Petrol Head at odds in Albury...has been unlucky the last few runs,,,deserves a change of luck and might sneak under the radar..

Written By A King at Moe (not to wet) distance suits forget last run...

Had a big go a couple of weeks ago on a horse i have plenty of time for in Mazunda at Sandown, he had been very, very impressive in two country wins and the race looked made to order. He was absolutely donkey licked by Secret Recording who relished the conditions.

Cheers ED

Mazunda puts the weekend in the black (just), one that should have had me wearing the Yellow, Green, White, and Polka Dot jerseys all at once. Shows how blessed we were with Secret Recording L2B, Judusk never got near Mazunda today.

Nice winner on Friday too L2B, had a little bit on him so cheers, yeh sorry about In Hot Pursuit never got near them.

Great tipping on the other thread Mav, you look to have brissie sussed. Did you unload on General Conclusion? It looked very well placed.

Hey Guys ..nothing much happening today ,, Go Divine etoile :)
Showers and Champers already ran and won yesterday (doh) ..
oh well you snooze you lose ..Had a lazy weekend after a hectic saturday arvo ...just had Meterorite the one bet for the day on Sunday..saw that Simonde at odds finished close up 2nd..would of been ripping my hair out if he'd of won at those odds..

Yes Mr Ed..seem to be going alright in brissie....my big goes for the day were Yubi, Picablu (so Close) Aerated , Zip zip aray and General Conclusion

Aerated being the big one...the tri paid so well..

Got lucky in Brissie i thought...in the 2nd race when emit time was scratched i had an e/w on Startled Hunter and La Montagna and got lucky..thing is i never had Nik Nak Noee in my tri ,.,,and kicking myself for it..i was alittle rushed after the Scratchings and just forgot about him down the bottom there....
After reviewing the Saturday...that trifecta i missed and why the hell i jumped off Cellar Edition are the things that bug me the most..when i tipped Cellar edition last start i stated that people under estimate this horse,,and that exactly what i did...i usually follow my stable when the horse is in form ..
....??? ...and the last race in brissie was good in the end but could of been way better..

Another thing that bugged me on Saturday was the last at the Gold Coast....i knew renouf would struggle the 1300m...i picked the obvious class horse Stormcat Academy but what i should of done was backed a few in this race,,with Beamer being the next class wise...
why renouf was odds on ..surprises me,,

Desert ransom seems to be missing something ....he loomed up but then faded..maybe he was one run short,,,liked Fangio's run..as well,,,will keep an eye on these 2..

Well done Mr Ed on Mazunda..

Well done Mav, nice trifecta there, I thought the first 4 was pretty straightforward as well for a decent return. Hope a few got on.
Devine etoile had it won before they straightened in my opinion, great ride by colless, easy win. Im glad it won because I went all out on win only, I dont do that very often, was pretty confident though.
Outlay $50. Return $91. Balance $507.
Tuesdays racing.
Taree Race 7 no 1 GUNPOINT. $10 w $30p
Placed both tries at this distance, form is good and up against an ordinary lot here, should be in the money. Anything above 3.50 would be good value.
Dont mind hurricane annie in race 5 either, forget his last run not up to city standards but the run before that on this track was pretty convincing. See what the odds are before I committ to that one though.
Good luck All.

Cathy Come Home ...this is a horse thats been slowly improving with each run...breeding suggests that the 1900m might be a plus...i actually owned the full brother to this horse at onestage so i know the breed well..
theres nothing much in this race but i'm still hoping for good odds..
DannyBoy..
This is another breeding thing...this horse has been solid but never tried over alittle distance..hes out of Atalaq mare so the 1900m could be what hes waiting for....would'nt want the track to be heavy..
Grey Danz..
McEvoy will have him ready to go here...he'll be bigger and stronger here and a good chance against this lot..
Taree
TonzaFire ..this horse has had problems...but her last run was full of merit...should get the lead here and be hard to catch,,

Not overly excited about anything today but hoping for some value..

Mafia Don and Sweet Tiffany are horses i've followed before but i thought Mafia Don had his chance last start and Sweet Tiffany although speedy might struggle with the weight...both won't be any value anyway so will leave them alone..

Good Luck guys :)

Congrats on your tipping lately Maverick. I particularly like how you back them up with a snippet to explain your thought processes.

I will hopefully start trying similar soon but because I use statistics a bit I often find that I can tell why I think something will win but not necessarily what will challenge it. It means that I miss things that might have had a bad run last time out etc. Do you use videos Mav?

Mr ed
18th July 2005, 10:36 PM
Hoping they race at Kilmore tommorow. Oakpark Shannon is in my book for a great run 2 starts back at Wang when post very wide the whole way and still accelerated well when asked to just fail. Last start she ran on well again at Geelong for third, the outside rail was the place to be that day and the two horses that beat her both finished to her right. She is better suited here over a bit further, and does handle bad going. She's drawn 12 which might not be the case with a few scratchings expected, but by the end of the day the outside might be the place to be. Tommorow race looks a handy field but she's a handy mare and should be right there with the 3kg claim.

Try and get a winner for Mav and L2B, who are doing the thread proud with a great display of form analysis.

Cheers ED

Nice run by Cathy there Mav @ good odds, was a little unlucky but really don't think it would have beat the winner. Sorry again guys about Oakpark, she was a top run after leading and being gassed by pressure the whole way, only finished a length or so behind the winner and can win in similar class soon.

Had a little to on Alpha Centauri through its Miss Starnee formlines, she was a great run after missing the kick and being scrubbed along to catch up the whole way, she'll be short odds next time she goes around however so just using her great run to reinforce my opinion of Miss Starnee who goes around on Saturday @ Morphettville.

I really like Lemon And Sars in the first tommorow, it's three runs in have all been good, and the form has stacked up very nicely. Three starts back it ran second to Change of Class who has gone right on winning his last 4 starts including a romping at the Valley last Saturday, so all things being equal she is unlucky to still be a Maiden. Her next start was at Bendigo where she was a little dissapointing, but almost dead heated for a low position with Gracious Curves who strolled in at Geelong over this distance last week and would start short odds here. Her run when fourth behind Saayers was a real eye catcher, she had all the favors along the fence but still made very nice ground from last and looks like she'll be improved over further and with a bit more fitness. Tommorows field has some very interesting runners however, mainly Light After Dark, who was sensationally backed on a heavy track on debut and failed to deliver behind Daaditsi, the stable is not often wrong and the better track tommorow could see a new horse. Another i liked the debut 2 starts ago of was Monacaird when fourth to Ragsac, that was a good race and he got to the line even though he had all the favors, he should continue to improve and is a danger. Don't rate the class of the others races to highly and if any eachway odds are available for Lemon and Sars they should be seriously considered, will also be boxing her in the exacta's and trifs with the other 2.

RC 4. Freudian Slip, both runs very encouraging, when still learning to race, she will be a nice horse in six months but the benefit she has taken so far could well see her take tommorows race. Very tough field, not confident of anything other then the fact that she will run well and that Dashkova simply can't win.

Maewest....this horse has ability and is right in this race..is rock hard fit for this and just needs a clear crack at them in the straight..e/w odds :)
Colourband...look like a class above these...not overly attractive odds here but will win this..won't take odds on..
Cindy Kate..this horse won so well llast start its hard not to follow her....would want atleast 3's or close to it as this is her hardest test..(listen to the replay of her llast win..fantastic call) confident here..
Lord Luccan ..has been racing well and with the claim should win this..might even get 4's if they gamble with him....like him alot..

6 bets probably today and almost paid for them with the first one in Geelong...thanks again Mr Ed ..

I can feel a fourex coming on ..:) ..great call again...its whats racing's all about,,just love it..
Cindy Kate looks smart cant wait to see it come down here in Brissie..
Got 2.70 about her ,,not bad ,,but gave half of it back on Colourband ,,very dissapointing..

thinking about Shivirgo in the cup....last time it ran around the 1400m it finished just off Uncle Shamos who was flying at that stage..beat the smart devil that day as well,,looks like its atleast worth a e/w..

I'm ahead for the day ..woohoo :) ..with 3 bets to go ...feeling good ...
just need a collect to make up for the last 2 days..

Didn't bet in the race. Probably should have as Derby Parade used to be one of my old favourites. Notice you could have got the first 4 simply by boxing the 4 outside barriers!!!

maverick1993
21st July 2005, 04:39 PM
Shivirgo ran pretty well i thought...will book him for next start...yeah your right Sportz Derby parade in this grade was way overs...
are you still playing around with those outside barriers ? are they working for you ??

Grand Merlot...looked good on turning and just battled..jumping from a maiden to class 3 was always going to be tough....if he starts over distance in a lower grade i'll follow him,,..he was only a few lenghts off.
Maewest...never really go into it....got bumped a few times and just turned off...
my Wa figures are starting to get a hammering....still above water but not by to much anymore..

a winning day ..today...after a couple of losing ones....

have a few bookers running tomorrow
Townsville.
*Monte Bianco...this horse has had 3 runs back,,all have been solid...he should get his way here and lead...he won a couple of nice races down here doing exactly that....doesnt have to beat much here,,
*Gold Tusmani...this horse has been good to me..been alittle disspointing of late..but the races havent been run to suit...he gets his speed here in this race ..he'll hopefully be dropped out the back and aimed for one crack at them...in this class against this lot has a big show..
*Striderite....just loves this track...running nice times might be to short though....
*Dynamic Wave...ran a cracking time last run..has the inside draw where all the likely leaders are drawn wide...only has to run near his last time to win this.....think Unite n Prosper will be in this aswell,,,1000m is his go but the barrier is a worry...brissie form loooks real good for a race like this..

*Polygram....last few runs have been good without being spectacular...the shorter distance suits and against this lot should win .....wont take anything short as i think hes past his best,,,but if they gamble with him he might be value..
*Double Entendre.....racing in way tougher races than this...should win but doubt the price will be all that flash...

The winter Cup looks good....king of Illawaraa won for me last start by a mile ...but he didnt beat much ,,and might be unders here,,,if Lorenzo gets to decent odds i might have an e/w,,this horse has been very consistant and from the barrier should get a nice trail..will be hard to hold out...intersting race this one...might back them both if the odds are right..

good luck guys,,,i'm due for a couple of wins.. :)

maverick1993
22nd July 2005, 01:04 PM
Hoping to get the right odds today..
Confident on Gold tusmani..but wanting to get 4's or close to it..
Polygram..looks like i might get the same...
Lorenzo ...looks like i'll get 7's or higher here..very happy with that..i'm guessing they'll come hard for King Of Illawara..
Double Entre ..4's look good here...

these are the ones i'm concentrating on today..
Striderite ,dynamic wave and Monte bianco are all tough races ...will have a smaller e/w on them just the same but think the excotics will be very good value if you can jag them..

Happy punting... :)

Lorenzo was a good bet Sportz..
Great result with the exotics aswell...1/2 the 1st4 and the tri a few times..
pretty easy to get in the end...should of really had a go at it ..

Gold tsmani ...seemed to get everything he needed..speed on..a good crack at them in the straight..but just died.....dissapointing..
Polygram.... same story ...just not the horse he once was...

My little e/w's on Montebianco , Striderite and Dynamic wave ..didnt do a whole lot...nice divie on Striderite though...i knew they were tuff races up there in Townsville,,,and just look at all the bolters that got up...
still they all didnt dissapoint and stay in the book for now..

In the end a nice winning day to finish a a real good week,,,probably my best weekday figures i've had in a real long time...

alot of that due to the Divine etoile and Lemon and Sars bets ...thanks guys :)

looking forward to tomorrow...be on later with a Brissie roundup,,

Just as a little aside to the Fantasy Racing competition which I'm running, I actually had quite a bit of success on Wednesday and last Saturday simply by following some of the horses that I've included on the lists. After all, these horses all do have a bit of class and therefore they should really be better than most of the other horses racing in this late winter period.

Anyway, I'm certainly not guaranteeing anything here and these aren't necessarily my tips, but these are the Fantasy Racing horses running around this week, in my order of preference:

E.FM R4 - 1 Cool Scene, 2 Street Smart
E.FM R7 - 1 Consular, 10 Lamond, 8 Youthful, 2 Bazelle
W.FM R1 - 1 Jeteye, 2 Desetta
W.FM R3 - 3 Genghis Khan
W.FM R4 - 1 Loftily, 2 Wasimah
W.FM R5 - 2 Jovial
W.FM R6 - 8 Yerevan, 6 Megabucks, 2 Zagalia
W.FM R7 - 4 Wild Queen, 1 Irongail
CAUL R1 - 3 Red Hot Mama
CAUL R3 - 1 Delicate Snip
CAUL R4 - 4 Tubular Bells, 8 Bangand
CAUL R5 - 6 Emerald Jack
CAUL R6 - The whole field of this race is actually in the competition. I think 1 Super Elegant, 6 Wildly, 9 Leone Chiara are possibly the best chances, but not one of the runners would surprise if they won though.
CAUL 8-1 Stratton Place

Some good horses in there sportz, well done with all that work you have put in, cant wait for the start of it.
Had no computer access for a few days but see a few winners still floating around here. Great work Ed with Lemon and Stars, spewin I didnt see it until now though!! oh well.. One of the best descriptions of a race Ive ever seen, well done there mate.
I have a big tip for today..... follow Mav around Eagle Farm!! Been on fire there of late hope it continues.
One running in Adelaide today that I really like Is Yarterbury, race 2. This horse has an amazing turn of foot and when asked to go you would want to be holding on. Its last run was over 1466 and if that race was 150m longer he would of won by 10 lengths. Ill be having a red hot go on him today, ill be surprised if hes not in the call flying home in the last 200.
Decided during the week Im going to try and just concentrate on adelaide racing, spending too much time trying to find winners in every state, this way I can put more time in to one area, we will see how it goes..

Anyway, hope everyone finds a winner, theres a couple of others I like today, just watching a few replays before I decide.. will post them here later.

Nice win there with Lorenzo Mav, don't worry Gazman we've all been stung trying to bet against Mav.

Have to be on Miss Starnee @ Morphettville today, if not only because she's won me so much. As i said previously, Alpha Centauri was a Ginormous run in a pretty handy field, Miss Stanee gave that horse plenty of weight and still beat it fair and square. Drops back 200m to 1600 here but i think a mile looks perfect for her, should be good speed on and watch for her to be storming home. Has about 7 placings in a row now so if eachies are available, very likely, she looks a safe bet.

I hate Sydney but i really liked the way Genghis Khan won last start, will be having a fun go at him, but wait for tuesday, very excited about one in one of my distance maidens.

Thanks for the kudos lads, i was stoked Lemon and Sars could do the right thing for the thread after a couple of losers. Keep up the good work gentleman, the hours we put in certainly help the cause.

23rd July 2005, 05:14 PM
Was sceptical about Genghis after he drifted so much (how do they know?), did save on Midnight City and actually made a small profit on the race. As i did with Miss Starnee who tried her guts out again to just grab third after going very wide around the turn, $2.90 was a very good divvy for the drum. I did back Harryallards Lane at Echuca, he had every possible chance but was just beaten, he's sacked. All in all a winning day with no winners, can't complain, hope you all cleaned up.

Put the mocker on me today Luv2bet..only got the one winner today in brissie....granted a nice winner ..but still only the one :)

Has anyone looked at the Mildura Cup....
i have two runners in it Ruben and Zip Zip aray....i give both a nice chance in this,,Ruben always puts himself in the race.jumps well and can cross from way out there..he stuck on well last time and will be fitter for the 2 runs back..
Zip Zip was doing his best work late last time and the extra distance suits...will be an open race i think..so both will be value..nice trifecta race..
Hawksbury
Confident about Rogems Gem ..smart run last start ..just looks real good here ....
Coffs Harbour,,
Kaaptive IDea...this race has alot of speed on ...this will suit this horse..he shouldnt be as far back as usual from the good barrier..will be nice e/w odds
has won for me before in a similar race at huge odds,,
Shady Henrietta ...has a bit of class on this lot..loves the short sprint ..
Sunny Coast
Beamer...Griffin is racing in good form...knows the tricks to this horse ..these older horses usually back up well...a few smart ones in this race so will be good odds..

Only a few running around tomorrow but feel a bit more confident about some of these than i have been lately,,.. Good Luck all, :)

Dont mind Capadan in the cup, not over confident but this horse should be fitter now and may run a race, if good odds ill have a little interest bet.
Mildura race 4 AL THARB looks to be well suited in this race at e/w odds.
Mildura 9 CONFINES hasnt been that far away of late could thrive on the extra journey... be wary though, Melbourne hasnt been good to many of us of late..

Looks a very tough race. May have a small each way bet on Grundy's Crossing. At his best, I reckon he's better than these, he has pretty good form at the distance, and he's won 2/2 first-up. Also think the two boys, Methodical Boy and Polyester Boy have some chance. As I said, a tough race though.

Just noticed Fine Dane in the last at PQ ..this horse caught my eye last start in that race where Mafia Don was a short priced over rated fav ...the horse i picked tosssed the jockey off on the way to the barrier..
Fine Dane got caught in a bit of traffic that day when all the horses were trying to get to the outside rail ..he was full of running ..
alot of the the others here are going down in grade ..but he is going up but he has performed in this grade before..has a good jockey and not a bad weight..good barrier..won at the track before ...
He should of beat One Pound Six last start and that horse is right in the market..
he gets all the ticks..
will have an e/w on him ..wish i saw him before i put the treble on with Lady Viv ..

Gday all

Robbo/Hawkes combo of a sat at the provs was a winning combo... not sure if he is still getting the rides...

He usually rides pretty well here when he comes.. look for him combining with Neil... it is usually a pretty good combo.. but then again most of Neil's runners give you a show... Others to look at here are Graham/Prosser.. Dolendo with Neil can find some nice winners, but not all that consistent.. and of course ol Bob from Taree hardly ever sends out a dud runner..

Kyneton Rc 1 No. 7 Silvadarri

This horse slipped under my radar last start when i tipped In Hot Pursuit, after he ran a gallant second after leading and doing plenty of work to Jygah who had the best run you'll ever see, i looked back on his previous runs and there was a lot to like. That day he spaced the third horse by over 5 lengths and the fourth horse by over 10 on a very damp surface over 1500m. The start before he led up a very, very handy field over 1612 when just faded to be beaten 4th less then 2 lengths behind Octavalent, Always Class (has shit in since) and Bluescope, 4th to always class, but a badly judged ride. The start before that he tried to match it sitting outside Madison Lane and weakening a little, we all know that form stands up now.

The step up to 1850 will suit so long as they don't go too hard, or he can get a nice trail the other natural leader in the race is Wyambi who just battled on to 4th behind Alleged Encounter last start, that horse is promising but the field was not overly strong, the second horse Coronation Stryder won @ Echuca last start but that field was also weak and he had every possible. Another from Alleged Encounters race was Atomic Spider, who ground to the line OK, but always does and never really figures. They walked that day but there should be more pressure on tommorow from the likes of Destiny Lane and Jesmond Eagle who can't win but are a pain. Thinking with a decent run to the first bend at Kyneton that Silvadarri will push forward and Ryan can get him into a handy position in the first 4 from (11).

Main Danger looks to be Nubitor who ran second to the impressive Santas Queen over 1900m last start, he had every chance with the leaders; Santas Queen and Wiganvale, going Lickity split up front. Nubitor got a dream run and looked likely to go straight past Santas Queen 200m out but just couldn't go past and that horse pulled away to win very well. Nubitor was stepping up from 1400 to 1900m that day so his condition may well have just given up on him that last little bit, he'll be fitter tommorow and looks to get a good run again from (4).

The others who'll be in the market are Maid In Euroa, who always gets home well but needs it weaker. Classic Recipe who ran on well behind Dun Mears last time but big step up in distance, the rest are absolute walkers.

Silvadarri should be rock hard fit now, and getting better with every start IMHO he is very tough to run past tommorow and looks a moral to run a drum.

Sorry about all this, i just like to really analyse each runner when i'm going to have a big go.

Good Luck Mr ed ..i'll be on ..with fingers crossed.. :)

I have a couple running around tomorrow..
Rebelete ..this horse is droping back to her pet distance...ran a huge race with weight before her last start failure where she just didnt get into the race....against this lot she's a big show..
She does have the 59kg and this worries me..i'm not sure who's riding her ..hopefully a decent jockey with a claim..if she gets a couple of kilos off i'll be on..
Postcard bandit always attracts support and Langfibian has a ability ..hopefully they come for these 2 and Rebelette gets to decent odds..

Diamond n Ice in the open looks well placed here..has been consistant of late..and i can see the only danger being Prince Of Ashes who has the bad barrier...the'll be a few scratchings here ,,,that helps to put these 2 on top by a margin....
Diamonds was only a few off Umatrick who has been flying of late ..
she also beat my other tip Rebelete ..so i'm trusting that form line..
they'll be speed in this race ..danefull might try and dictate the tempo and roll along at a decent speed ...hopefully he doesnt get it his own way up front and theres a bit of a battle up front....the speed will suit Prince of ashes as well ,,he likes to sit out the back and have one crack at them,,,
with Omnitrader out that doesnt leave any other front runner in the race ..Danefull could have it his own way...it's a bit short for him though ..and i'm also hoping Greniiulle or another roughie will pressure him..
as you can see theres a few variables so i'm hoping the odds on Diamonds are attractive enough to tempt me..

weird i dont have anything up in Rocky,,usually a fav of mine..

Well my best mate have there horse running in the first in Rocky today we are heading out to the races to watch it. It is the first the name of the horse is Joint Krew it won it's first start at yeppoon on an absolute bog then was hurt for a couple of months. Then the other day first up in Mackay it missed the start by about 4 lengths which is basically the end of your race at that track aparently it did finish the race off ok. Not sure if the step up to 1300m is a plus or a minus if she can get just off the speed with a bit of cover then it just might give her the chance to get the distance might be wrong but if she leads I do have my doubts whether she will get the 1300m she might be worth a small e/w bet anyway aparetnly she has been going extremely well in track work from all reports she has turned into a nice little race horse with a bit of luck she might even show that today who knows.

Cheers lads,

I was very confident when Jesmond Eagle and Destiny Lane decided to take a sit instead of vying for the lead. Also the very heavy track suited Silvadarri but he was so tired at the finish. I thought he may have paid a little more, but not complaining.

Mr ed
26th July 2005, 01:23 PM
Might be giving a little back here, but Xaarbel is an absolute nob in the wet and looks well suited in the 8th, he will drop back from (12) but there should be decent speed on. 2 runs back he moved into the race stylishly but went far to early to be beaten into second at Horsham. His last start at Geelong he just accelerated in the going so easily with a very high knee action after a perfectly judged ride from Holland, he was a maiden that day racing in C1 grade, including Oak Park Shannon who's run well since, and meets a similar field here with a little more weight. Haven't done to much form on the race, but he is definately worth a little each-way if the odds permit. Will still be a huge day if it loses so not to worried.

Cheers ED

Might have a bit of a crack on sun and sand in the last at ballina. Ignore its last few starts was a long way above this league. Hes drawn well and with best view scratched looks to be very well suited. Has good form over this distance along with a little home ground advantage should go well.
Dont mind bello gino in rocky, probably too short for a bet but would think he can go on with it here..
Wont be suprised to see LORD NEDIYM run a race at big odds either. Extra distance will be appreciated.
Good luck

You are on Fire Mr ed ..thought Xaarbell was special after last start..fantastic run ..even though he was in the sprint lane he still finished so strong and obviously likes the conditions..

Good win on both (and my bet was in the 3 figures so it wasnt my fault with the divie ;) )
paid for my loss on Diamond and Ice..dissapointing..had the run of the race..
bit closer than i thought though..

Havent seen the race wiith Rebelette but why they didnt claim on her is beyond me..i''l bet she finished under 2 lengths off ..which is what i'd penalise her for that weight....

Having a crack at Sun and Sand Luv2 .... i cant seem to pick a winner so i'm just backing you guys ..lol ..

Thanks fellas, glad i could be of service. Top work with Sun and Sands L2B this has been a very nice day indeed, cheers.

Mav, tommorow in race 3, i really, really liked the debut run of Three Diamonds, if you've got a tape have a look. She was wide the whole way, coped huge checks, was under the whip 800m out, and still finished gamely to run 4th behind Six Oclock Rock who will nearly start favorite tommorow, but only beaten about 2 lengths. Obviously was waiting for her in a provincial maiden, but the odds would be terrible so i'm happy to be on her in what looks just an average field of 2yo.

Rc 4 Mazunda, We nearly bought this horse 12 months ago, after some unlucky maiden runs, but his price just wasn't right. Since then it has progressed into a very nice animal, and although biased his record agrees with me. Three starts back at Moe with 58kg his turn of foot blew me and the rest of the field away, he may have had enough his next start when 3rd to Secret Recording, then last start first up from a freshen up he sat outside the leader, ripped and pulled the whole way and still went on to score very well on a heavy track. He rises in weight a bit and he is pretty much the only horse who doesn't claim. But he looks to be the one on the up from the field and aside from Chanorth the only one who wants a really wet track. He can take a sit or roll forward and will put up a huge show.

You like any.

Well I had a good day at the races today my mates horse went ok ended up finishing 4th behind a tear away winner they are going to put her into an 1100m race in a couple of weeks and put the blinkers on think they are expecting her to go close again. I had a pretty good day backing Mydam Twist $6.80, Fortified $4.00, Bob's Bid $3.50 with the bookies & Mining Silver $3.70. So I had a pretty good day at the races which is unusal for me at the local races usually go terrible here. I could have got the 2nd winner of the day Gee Gee McGregor but I thought that Dingo form was probably not the greatest in the world.

Well done with Lord Nedyim Luv2 ..was ridden a treat...great run by Prince Of Ashes i thought...1 for the book for sure..
Diamonds n Ice was dissapointing..
Rebelette was always going to be a risk with that much weight..usually leads but had to be ridden upside down because of it....not sure of the margins yet..havent seen the replay .. Maybe they couldnt find a apprentice for her ?? ..good run just the same ..will follow her if shes placed better..

Some interesting races around tomorrow..
Eagle Farm.
R4 ..intersting betting race this one,...i reckon they'll come for a few here..i like Lunacampo ..this horse finally gets to race on a dry surface...will improve out of sight ...another at odds is Vettories Image ..this horse is bred to keep on running and should get the lead here ..Both have jockey's in form and in these open races ,,thats sometimes the difference..both of these should be nice e/w value..
R5. Rum Dum ..super run last start...very confident here ..cant see it paying all that much but just wins this ...will hope for anything above 2.50
Lunalana is a good longie that could grab a place and improve the trifecta.
R6 ,, Wow what a race..Mastermind and Renouf battling it out up front..could be a mad sprint up front...if Huddle gets to decent odds he could be the one to sit off these 2 and run them down...Has been working well apparently and has shown some good form last time in.....is first up and might need that freshness to keep up with them..
R8. Prang finally gets a run here...this horse just needs a half decent run to win this..has been unlucky of late...form jockey and good barrier..great run behind Ally bee last start where he was wide again..before that was 5 wide the whole way araound and still stuck on..the freshen will suit..
Miss Belatorie will be suited here by the track,,shes a hard horse to catch but Stanley knows her so well..dad trains her and he's the only one that rides her..she drops out the back and needs alot of luck but has a good finish when right...could be a knockout at huge odds..worth a e/w

Sydney
R3. John Syn looks ideally placed here..bowman aboard..likes the track and distance and good run last start..gets all the ticks ,,should get a nice tempo set up by Raffin Glow who like last week will give alot of cheek up front..
R4. Blue Lyric ..doesnt win often ..hardly at all really ..but this is the race for her...she battles away like a real plugger and she's bred to run all day.....not much in this race ..evaporized in lower classes has been ok..
Blue Lyric is only 5's ..would want closer to 9's or 10's...
R8.. Fleet Felix ...Moses has a high opinion of this horse ran on well in a harder race last start...has a big show here but wont be any flash odds..
Flemmington
R4. If the track isnt rain affected i Like Limited Impulse ..this horse is a real fighter ..will lead and be to strong for them with the claim has performed against better than this lot..,,,but if its rain affected Mazunda looks to have the edge on all of them..
R6. Captain Zero ...i've been waiting for this horse to get to this distance...has been racing like a true miler of late ...i know the toppy is pretty flashy ,,but the 6kgs less for Captain Zero will help ,, will be nice e/w odds..
R8. Celtic boom is thrown in at the weights here...looks a gimme ..Umbula wont give in without a fight but the 6kg swing seems too much ,,,,does have a class edge though......reckon i'll be watchin this race unless theres value around these 2..
Blaklava..
R8 Queen Catherine,,,ran some good races last prep...is bred to get over ground but should sprint well fresh,,,,Kavanagh will have her ready and there doesnt seem to be much at all in this race..

Good Luck All,,, :)

maverick1993
26th July 2005, 10:08 PM
Mr Ed...tough race with Three Diamonds...Presently was impressive last start..
Six oclock rock should have some improvement over the longer distance..and Tilleka's win 2 starts ago was fantastic....dont mind red for lou either,,
Hard to go past the toppy though..with D Moor and his claim she looks good..
..In these types of races my Breeding ratings are higher...i dont rate the Singspeils yet all that highly,,,,i just dont know the breed all that well..but the toppy's are Redoutes choice and testa rossa's..
tough to bet against them...will watch this race but best of luck ..
Would like to hear your thoughts on the breeding of this filly and what she looks like....

R5 - 3 RUM DUM - Terrific run last start in stronger Saturday company. Only query is the jump of nearly 550m in distance. If he handles the distance rise, he should win. 2 Marlene Gaye in good form and is the main danger. (3-2-8-4-6)
R6 - 1 MASTERMIND - Perhaps I've over-rated him, but if he can't win this, I would be disappointed. He'll only be about $1.40 though, so not really a betting proposition. (1-5-4-3)
R7 - 2 TANTAT XAAR - Fair form in Victoria and a very good win at his first run up here. 3 Jaegers is the main danger with 9 Oh Raw Oh Raw and 10 Oliver's Magic good chances for multiples. (2-3-10-9-11-5)
R8 - 1 A FAIRY'S KISS - Definite top pick here, but worried about the price, so might give it a miss. 3 Storm Moss the main danger. Might look at the multiples. (1-3-11-8-9-6)

Rand
R1 - 2 AIN'T SHE LOVELY - I had Ain't She Lovely last start and it was a very strong win. Might back her again. 1 Encosila the main danger. (2-1-3-5)
R2 - 3 MEHTER - A huge win last start over this track and distance. No reason why she couldn't do it again. 7 Greece Lightning and 1 Born To Rule are the main dangers. (3-7-1-12-4)
R3 - 3 JOHN SYN - Gets a race to suit here. Good performance behind Loftily last start. 2 Impala Bullet the danger. (3-2-1-4)
R6 - 3 SIR CRAIGLEE - Two excellent performances in strong Saturday races behind Men At Work and Hipster Doofus. Suited here, but be wary as he has been a bit of a non winner. 2 JON RON is equal top pick with great Saturday form. He's a big threat. (3-2-1-4-6)
R8 - 1 FLEET FELIX - Again strong Saturday city form. Ran well last two starts and he would have been strongly fancied in the last on Saturday if he had started. He's the top pick here. 3 Tactical Toy, 5 Castlecrag and 6 Missile Device for the multiples. (1-3-5-6-4)

Flem
R2 - 2 WILDWOOD ROAD - Great run behind Automaton at it's first start and in a tough race where 1, 3 & 6 will all be popular, Wildwood Road could be value. Maybe a small bet. 1 READY TO MOMBO is equal top pick. He has easily the best overall form. There's also a boom on 3 Hachiman and 6 Noise Barrage ran quite well in the same race as Wildwood Road. (2-1-3-6)
R3 - 1 PRESENTING - Potentially a top filly with good form in the Autumn behind horses like Opportunity and Leveller. Resumed with a good win. She's top pick. 2 Red For Lou was narrowly beaten in a good midweek race at Sandown and 5 Six O'clock Rock was a strong win last start. (1-2-5-3-10)
R4 - 3 MAZUNDA - Has the best and most consistent form. No need to jump off him here. 8 Criminal Intent backing up after a good run last Thursday. (3-8-9-4-7)
R6 - 4 ITSECHUCA - Very strong form out of a Moonee Valley Saturday race on the 16th. It's equal top pick here with 8 FASTBACK which has consistent country form. Top run last start. 1600m should suit. (4-8-10-5-9-6)

Mav, i don't really take any notice of breeding, all my bets are based on past performances. Presenting does look tough to beat, but what odds? Three Diamonds was a terrific run, don't leave her out of your multiples.
If you like breeding try Rc 2 Hachiman, full brother to Dizelle and Vengeance of Rain.

Good luck with Limited Impulse, i don't generally like leaders down the straight 6 however, i think if Mazunda can take a shit, he will explode and be very tough to beat.

wish i went far and wide with the 1st4 though..

Brissie.
Great day in Brissie today ..as usual the only place i should be betting ..Vettories Image was a nice place collect and i got a peice of the tri aswell..oneday soon i'm going to get one of these longies over the line in first ,,,Lost a stack on Rum Dum .no excuses either ...lost on Huddle as well ..i took on the toppy ..i knew he was vulnerable here to a back marker..i just picked the wrong one ..Prang was fantastic :) great divie and 1/2 of a monster tri to ....no where near the 1st4 ..
but all in all a magic result on my home track..
Sydney.
Started well with John Syn doing the right thing..but fleet felix spoiled the party and it ended up being an even day here,,this has happened alot in Sydney of late..no complaints as i'm not losing though..
Melbourne.
Backed Mazunda ...cursed it into 2nd ..sorry guys,,,Captain Zero didnt do a thing at all..very dissapointed. seemed to get to far back..
had a little win in the last ..Umbala and Celtic boom were both backed for a win and coupled with the field for half..so not a bad result at all..
actually my first win for about 10 or so melbourne races..
so i came out ahead in Melbourne. (miracle) only by a few bucks but i'll take that from there..
Adelaide..
Queen Katherine didnt do a thing ...will improve on it though and over some ground shes worth keeping an eye on..
Had alittle in the first race on Enter the sandman ...nice win ..i like this horse i followed him early this year so he's nearly paid back what he owes me,,,hes a big lump of a horse .. i like these types ..similar to Meterorite in that respect..
alittle loss in in Adelaide in the end..

Well done Mav, another winning day I see. Only had a couple today been flatout but pranged did the job nicely.
Got a couple running tomorow.
Bendigo race 8 DONBODINE. I have followed this horse for a bit now and he still gives me no reason to jump off. All he needs is a little luck in the running and he should be in the finish. The extra distance will suit him here, he handles all conditions just hope the weight on him doesnt take its toll. Smerdons on him not sure if he can claim?? would be a bonus though. With Mock being the obvious danger, id also put in Rubijon in amongst them at double figure odds. Nothing wrong with his last run behind huck finn, has a great record at this distance and looks cherry ripe.
Couple of others ill look at is undenied in townsville. Been in good form of late and with the size of the field Id expect 4s or better. Pity don sequalo drawn a barrier across the road because his last run has merit. In pt augusta race 6 Disco slacks is running. once again 4s plus would be nice. 2 lengths behind positive action a couple of runs ago and has been around the mark since. Droppin a bit of weight here as well as the apprentice on board should go well.
I like the name as well!!!!!
Good luck, hope the winners continue..
