Believe me I would SETTLE for a dead heat!!

They ran 1400M in 90secs which makes 15.5 M/sec which makes 1/100th second about 6 inches. Close enough for me - unless I was on the third horse of course :-)

6"" eh?, so it was a bit more than the proverbial bee's youknowwhat! unless it's one monster bee!

but i do know where you are coming from pp, ive had my nags called the winner then the caller corrects himself & relegates me back to 10th ish. had em called a clear 2 or 3rd & then magicaly they are 4 or 5th, days like that make me wonder why i ever bother...then a week later me 12/1 shot gets up & the caller gets it right & all is forgiven...until the next time!

oh & by the way pp, the clear bottom distance winner selections (cant recall what you call them!) were at it again yesterday, not big prices but i snagged a couple of handy winners whilst enjoying a few cold ones at my local - nr5 no11 & cr6 no9 - more than paid for my beers! & impressed a certain lass ive had my eye on!

Ah... a girl that's impressed by a man gambling on horses - Now that's something you don't find every day. :-)

Perhaps it was more like she was impressed by a man winning from the gamble rather that just the gambling bit alone KV :)
