Some Results

All,

I have only just had a chance to start testing this today.
The reason being that the GRV website has been slow or no responive the last few days.

I tested this quickly today as it has been a big day of horse race betting and starting to get tired. I will try to do more extensive back testing in the next few days.

BTW This is using my own spin on which dogs to bet on based ont he results of the spreadsheet.

The results are :
Sandown

Races : 6
Bets : 6
Wins : 3
Win ROT : $7
Places : 6
Place ROT :$10.50

Tips for todays other races are :

Sale
Race 3 : Come Get Some (DNP)
Race 5 : Awsome Beth
Race 7 : Extra Burst
Race 9 : Little Big Man
Race 12: Andrew James

Good Luck

Hi Wes,
Just a note on your selections, in particular Awesome Beth, points to be aware of,if you have created a Table of adjustments based on distances you may have over compensated dogs racing over longer distances, as the above dog had the longest LTD avg distance raced in the field, and if you also check its form you will see two distinct racing periods that are very different, so it may have suffered an injury an was spelled an its latest form last 9 starts just don't measure up to its former starts...
hope it makes sense..

Can somebody send me a copy of the spreadsheet? I really need to be able to download a dogs form.

What I need is to download the last 3 starts for every dog at a meeting, or last 5 starts.

kennedy22384 5th November 2005 06:11 PM

I have made an update to it which scales tracks based on how fast they are (avg mps of each dog). I used 96000 lines of form to do this so it is pretty extensive. However this copy is not for the public domain as it is too valuable in my opinion.

Fair enough. But can you send me a copy of the old one so I can use it to download a dogs form for a specified number of starts.?

kennedy22384 5th November 2005 07:07 PM

I would ask for anyone who has it not to give it to anyone else please. I only gave it to afew people to test out not to distribute freely.

Spreadsheet is very useful and profitable

Kennedy,

Just want to give you an update on how useful the scpreadsheet has been.

Today I have had 2 bets (so far).

Bendigo Race 5 Trifecta 3,5/3,5/1,2,6,7,8 Cost $10 - WON $97.50
Sandown Race 4 Number 8 Go Forever Cost $1 - WON $1.90

Of course this doesn't always happen but today has been good.

I hope you are using it.

Thanks

WESNIP

Could you put up the ratings assessment for a race tonight.
Or a race in the near future.
I would like to see if my attempt can beat the computer system.
At the moment I am having a terrible run.

wesmip1 12th December 2005 07:29 PM

Moee,

see your Dart thread for the ratings.

Good Luck.

Hi Kennedy91210
Have you been getting stuck into your system.
Is it still valuable?
Can you put up some tips for us losers to get on to please?

commanda 2nd February 2006 11:59 AM

Kennedy,

I'm interested in knowing if you have ever looked at the mathematical correlation between the average m/s of each dog in a race, compared with their final finishing positions. Have you calculated an average of this number over a significant number of races.

I use the Pearson correlation function in OpenOffice spreadsheet, to get correlations between various form factors and the final finishing position down to last place. My better factors average around 0.28. Would love to know if you're getting significantly better than this.

Amanda.
