New Waterhouse Stable Rider
With the news that Blake Shinn will join the Waterhouse stable it ponders the question....will he succeed?
I, personally, am not a fan for reasons which I will not divulge at this time. However, if he gets the pick of the rides from this powerful stable then he should have a successful stint(as should Nash Rawiller) riding for this establishment. He'll certainly be given a good chance to secure a place for himself in the top echelon of Sydney riders. Good luck to him. Any other opinions? Cheers. |
They might find themselves Shinn sore :D
|
Good one CP,
That might very well be the case. We'll see what happens...time will tell-there will certainly a dearth of available class NSW riders around in the near future. What about G.M. Ryan...although, he dislikes the city? Cheers. |
I think that Nash Rawiller may very seriously consider a relocation to Sydney after his efforts so far:
Saturday: SR5 Gp1 6 Bentley Biscuit WON $5.3w$2.0plNSW, and today: SR7 2 Anwaar WON $3.6w$1.5plNSW he'll be a welcome addition to the Sydney riding ranks. Cheers. |
his nickname from me is BAD RIDE BLAKE.
he always gets out positioned. sometimes i really wonder if he has a sense of pace. |
Yeah good point pharfromoz!
I think that Nash may have secured his position with the Waterhouse stable. He'll be a welcome addition to the Sydney riding ranks. Cheers. |
Personally IO can't stand waterhouse and I was ecstatic find out Shinn has gone there atleast I won't be worrying abotu whether I should back a horse he is riding cause he is woeful.
Not a big fan of Nash either his brother is light years ahead of him in riding ability |
Yeah, he is certainly talented and has established a niche for himself on the Victorian provincial and country circuit.
However, he is experiencing weight problems which limit his ability to get the rides on the real topliners-good luck to him! Today, his brother, Nash, has only one ride at Gosford for the Waterhouse stable: SR4 2 Kingda Ka - first starter but Gai is trying to entice Nash to Sydney so this this could be a very attractive inducement. Cheers. |
SR4 2 Kingda Ka 2nd $1.6plNSW,
flashed home in the last 50m just failing to grab the winner! Another good ride by N. Rawiller and should persuade him to relocate to Sydney in the near future. He's been very profitable for me over the Easter weekend and may it continue! Cheers. |
Can't agree that Brad is way ahead of Nash in ability.
Brad is a good country jockey, when he comes to town he is nowhere near as good.Nash's record in town speaks for itself. If Brad is so far ahead of him,why didn't Gai ask him to ride for her? Don't think Shinn will last too long if Nash wants the job. As long as she gets rid of that grossly overrated D.Beasley. See how he slaughtered Tuesday Joy in the Oaks? He even publicly admitted to"misreading the race and missing the boat!" Singo calls the shots there, and has told Gai to set her for the MC. Don't think Danny's little bum will be on her back in that one. |
I think one of the main reasons Brad doesn't ride that much in town is his weight I might be wrong there and anyone can feel free to correct me if they like. I refuse to back anything Nash rides he has just slaughtered far to many in the past which I have had money on and say whatever you like yes I am talking through my pocket but I am a punter and what punter doesn't, you can only put up with so many ********house rides from one guy.
I share your opinion on Danny Beasley Go4it I said soon after Tuesday Joy won the Coolmore with Beadman on does it show how good he is or how ridiculosly pathetic Beasley is I feel the latter is more acurate. |
One thing I didn't mention is the reason I don't like Nash much as a jockey he can do everything right but when he tries to drive a horse he looks terrible his hands are all over the place he just is not steady enough and it hurts the way the horse runs, Some of his worst rides were on Our Egytian Raine it should have won a couple more races but he just looked awful riding the horse out it almost looked like the horse was refusing to run out the race for him.
I amnot talking through my pocket on OER either I never had a penny on the horse inb fact I was the beneficiary of it not winning a few times. |
Raw and go4it,
SR5 1 Meurice, ridden by N. Rawiller WON $4.9w$1.7plNSW after another intelligent ride although there was some minor controversy but nothing which could take the race away from him. That's two Gp1's in a week -that spells "SUCCESS" to me! Sure, he used to ride for B. Mayfield-Smith, Tony Noonan and yes.....there were times that I was frustrated with some of his tactics. However, with this anticipated relocation to Sydney and all the resources of the powerful Waterhouse stable at his disposal then I believe that he will "grow" as a jockey and establish himself in the top echelon of riders. He may ride another Gp1 later today! Cheers. |
Like I said I will never have a cent on the bloke again I just do not like the way he rides any horse near him is in danger.
|
Sorry mate,
he just rode another Gp1 winner: SR8 2 Bentley Biscuit WON $3.2w$1.4plNSW Cheers. |
good on him he had a good day he did a real good job on Haradasun to I might add
|
Oh dear,
You're batting 0-2 Raw/crash/rabbitz, ....give it away! Go and have a sleep! |
With Nash Rawiller in Brisbane tomorrow riding some of the stable's "big guns" Blake Shinn gets his chance to show the Sydney/NSW racing public what he is capable of.
I have an open mind on his prospects of becoming a force in NSW racing....it is all up to him! Put it this way...he will be keen to make an impression so it may be wise/smart to wager(1x5) on his mounts. Good luck to him! Cheers. |
Well...how did you think Blake Shinn went today?
I, personally, would give him a "pass-mark": He appeared to give his mounts every chance. 4 rides for the Waterhouse establishment for 1 winner(SR5 $4.8w$2.4plNSW) and one placegetter(2nd $1.7plNSW)= (1x5): Outlay 24 units Return 25.3 units = 5.42%POT about what you/I can get at the bank. We'll give him his chance to establish himself in the tough, competitive Sydney racing scene. Cheers. |
Does anyone believe that Nash Rawiller will go back to Melbourne now:
BR7 3 Bentley Biscuit WON $3.7w$1.6plNSW that's 3 Gp 1's since he began his stint in Sydney....good luck to him! Now, Bentley Biscuit ventures to England to show them what Aussie horses can do! Cheers. |
Great effort Nash Rawiller on the Biscuit!
|
While Nash had mixed luck with "the Biscuit" in England he continues his success here in Australia and more specifically, Sydney.
Since taking up the opportunity to ride for the Waterhouse stable he has ridden three Gp 1's and today he has ridden two winners already although they were for outside stables: SR3 8 Turffontein WON $7.4w$2.1plNSW for A.J. Cummings SR4 3 Gallant Tess WON$6.0w$2.5plNSW for D. Payne he has had phenomenal success and I believe he is searching for a permanent residence in Sydney....who can blame him especially considering some of the choice mounts which will be available to him during the upcoming Spring carnival. Good luck to him. Cheers. |
I have been particularly impressed with Nash Rawiller's energetic rides of late and let's hope he can secure some xmas expense money for us later on today's card.
When not riding for the Waterhouse stable Nash is in keen demand from other trainers eager to utilise his undoubted skill. Isn't Sydney lucky to have the influx of interstate and overseas riders currently competing in this hard marketplace? It augurs well for the depth of future Sydney racing and hopefully betting prospects. Cheers. |
Well Nash is certainly trying his best for us....!
SR5 5 Lieserl unp it was absolutely knocked down during running and may have received an injury going by the way Nash was looking down at it's legs in the final stages of the race. SR6 9 Super Smudge 3rd $2.0plNSW although carrying the immortal "mock" of Sydney radio it still managed to forge home in the straight to grab 3rd place. Luckily we had one of the best in the business, Nash Rawiller to pilot this runner into a place(1x5 = 66.6% POT...so not too bad. Overall, currently returning 8.33%POT on these two races...can you get that a bank? Cheers. |
Nash did the right thing by us on 22.12.07 when he won the last race:
SR8 7 Ferocious WON $7.4w$2.5plNSW and he is going well today, having just steered Petreni into 3rd place: SR2 4 Petreni 3rd 2.8plNSW as I have stated previously I am very impressed with Nash's vigour of late which means he is determined to maintain his position amongst the top riders in this state/land. Stick with him......! Cheers. |
