shotgun kid.
down in distance n d parnham great odds. gotcha |
Yeah right topsy99, makes up for not winning previous 'down-in-distance' 5 goes, for this horse - obviously easy to recognise the pattern for this fellow. Thanks for the tip anyway, just have work out how to get back in time
|
very difficult to throw anything on here without ending up in a chaff cutter.
i recently put forward that many longshots come down in distance. (in answer to a post named longshots) in the past couple of weeks dedicated miss space age and now shotgun kid all trained by n parnham have been successul. just sharing my thoughts and minor successes. if you feel displeased then please ignore. |
topsy99,
How is your Listed system going? Are you still following it and are you pleased? Don't want any info, just curious as you seem to have got some great returns earlier with it. Cheers. |
Topsy,
Don't bother anymore it ain't worth it as very few show appreciation. You saw what happened to me when I tried to share what I was doing. After reading many of the posts of the so called experts I began to think I was an idiot for doing what I was, so changed my method to give me a definate selection and not using gut feeling. Guess what first day I lost. Thought ************ the experts, went back to what I was doing and haven,t dropped since. Cheers PS I'm not referring to the above post as it may have been me that wrote that as well. :???: [ This Message was edited by: kenchar on 2004-01-18 16:28 ] |
thanks for the advice.
i have used the method for several years and although seem to be always learning something have been getting some thrills with it. i put forward my thoughts on horses coming down in distance because many listed horses win coming down in distance which is different to all the advice that i have heard over the years. n parnham seems to be very good at setting his horses. i use the forum for a discussion post and sharing ideas. i dont use it to make money or sponge ideas off people. i bet listed horses to give me a focus e.g. else there is a bet in every race. its good fun. its obviously not kosher to put up successes but backed examine the books at wangaratta today and dream quest in launceston. my biggest disappointment with the method is sydney racing which is at such a low ebb that it virtually is dropping off the radar. i dont know where all the listed horses in sydney go as they are still running the races but the horses are not appearing on the track. any way thanks for the encouragement. if i seem to get a bit excited please ignore me and i promise not to tell anyone about my next longshot. regards |
A couple of points.
GET EXCITED that's part of it. Why isn't it kosher to post successes,I for one like to read of other peoples achievements, it's only the ones that are going bad that will knock you. My biggest knocker often posts his success but I rarely see him posting his selections before the event. DO YOUR OWN THING AND ************ THE REST. I will qualify my last statement, I never stop looking for the so called holy grail, which is a definate selection on the place around $2. IF EVER I come across it there is 5 people on this forum that I would ask for their email to let them know. Cheers |
Let's see, they would be JFC, Dr Pan,.....etc
|
Mark,
Dead set you're a mind reader.        |
Kenchar
If you want some really meaty 'chats', get to the Betfair forum. No holds barred there. |

How do you get into Betfair site and what bets are legal in Aust. Thanks Jaffa, Gold Coast |
Interesting group of people up for a stroll on a Sunday night - think I see what you mean El Gordo.
Dedicated Miss, some 10 goes 'back-in-distance' before winning - another one that obviously fits the 'pattern' Just expanding a little on topsy99's 'system' - obviously (can only see posts proclaiming wins) topsy99 knows when to bet - good luck to you topsy99, and excuse me for breathing! _________________ OH GOLLY GOSH! http://www.betfair.com, as to what's legal, who knows, who cares. Me taking bets on UK races does not step on any of the TAB's toes, one little bit. |
Pure coincidence MyHatMyCoat, nothing more, nothing less
|
when i raised this point a week ago. i thought it would be of interest only.
the fact is that. in a range of 7 races at ascot dedicated miss, space age and shotgun kid won at good odds coming back in distance. co-incidence or not it happened. i post for the interest of members only. all of the above were listed horses. i dont post to get offside with anyone but only to share thoughts and hopefully identify patterns. you are excused for breathing myhatmycoat. regards |
Kenchar + Topsy99
Keep posting your thoughts and ideas, they make interesting reading. Kenchar, I hope I've made the "list". Hit the target in three bets today. Thanks GG |

you are right. i did realise after my excitement and giving parnham the credit.
didnt say it again. on the subject of coincidence. there's been another one. crown regatta listed horse down in distance $27.60 at eagle farm today. oh well keep em coming. |
Topsy,
Good on ya! Keep rubbing their noses in it  Cheers |
dont mean to do that.
i started this item in response to a post on longshots and how to identify them. i looked for a pattern and there are more than you think with this pattern. i am actually trying to be helpful and not offend anyone. i know there are many losers as well but the odds of the winners are certainly encouraging. |
not absolute, but don't think that crown regatta is a listed horse
|
techinically correct.
i included him from a race from march 2002 when the prizemoney is unusually above the normal stakes. e.g. selected two year old races are part of that e.g. magic millions not listed either but would be remiss not to include in higher graded horse list. but you are fairly astute picking that up. regards. |
point noted, wasn't sure but felt that special circumstances prevailed.
Regards and thanks for your input, I am learning something new each day. |
mungbean.
UP in distance n d parnham great odds. gotcha |
claise brook.
