Win more and you become a grade 4.Lose a few and you go out to a grade 5 again.
Most races are maidens and grade 5's because most dogs are that.

That is the actual Grade rankings for greyhounds that have raced in vic for the last 18 months.
Some of the Grades types are obviously those from Interstate tracks
